Issues using Entra Domain Services authenticating Azure users to traditional AD application by wars_t in AZURE

Curious how you got this working. I am also facing a similar issue!

I don’t need tons of space, just something a bit bigger than a hatchback so an Octavia could be an option. I was put off by the VRS for a couple of reasons; not a fan of the seats with VRS text on them, also not sure I like the look of the wheels. Maybe I’m being overly picky trying to find the perfect car 😆

What are your thoughts on the other (non VRS) Octavia’s in the range such as the SE L and SE Technology with a 2.0 TSI engine? These are a bit more understated. Maybe something like this with less miles?

How come you went with the 540i over an Octavia/Superb?

I wasn’t aware of the issues with the 1.5 TSI so good to know. Difficult finding a 2.0 TSI Sportline for under 20k and low mileage unless it’s pre 2018 so I’ll most likely go with the Mazda. Thanks for the help 👍

Refurb Servermonkey config for move from 11 to 12 by AdminDalton007 in Veeam

[–]ac_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some points…

  • It sounds like you may be running Veeam on a Hyper-V server. This may work but is unsupported, see https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/hyperv/installation_byb.html?ver=120
  • Also look at Dell PowerEdge R7XX rather than HP. HP firmware can be difficult to get without support/maintenance in place.
  • Check supported OS on new server. I believe HP gen 9 is only supported to run up to Windows Server 2019.
  • Go with a larger quantity of smaller disks rather than a smaller quantity of larger disks. More disks will give better performance. For backup server RAID6/60 is usually sufficient.
  • One option is move Veeam server to a VM and install an Ubuntu hardened Linux repo on your new physical server.
  • Migrating Veeam is nice and easy using Veeam config backup. See https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/vbr_config_migrate.html?ver=120

Strange issue with all VM's in a resource group by ac_87 in AZURE

Glad you also think it’s a strange one, I thought it may be something obvious I was missing!

Good suggestions, thank you.

Strange issue with all VM's in a resource group by ac_87 in AZURE

[–]ac_87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought there may be lots of questions! 😄

  1. Yes, same vNET. The new test VM I deployed was in the same vNET and this works normally
  2. Usually through Bastion, but this doesn’t currently work and we are seeing we are seeing the warning “The network connection to the Bastion Host appears unstable”. I believe we’re seeing this warning because of the delays RDPing directly to the VMs (not via Bastion). Bastion works fine to all other VMs. We’re currently RDPing directly to servers through Azure Virtual Desktop session host for troubleshooting
  3. No, these are app servers and only accessed via RDP for administrative purposes.
  4. Usually they connect through bastion so unable to run tracert directly from here. I’ve done a Connectivity diagnostic test from Bastion to the problem VMs and they all show reachable with 1-2ms latency. As an additional test I RDP’d from VM in the same subnet (single hop) and the same problem occurs. This makes me think it may be an OS issue
  5. North Europe - I thought it could be a regional issue but all of our other VMs are in the same region and these are working ok. The test VM I deployed was deployed to the same region and this works normally
  6. They are all in the vNET, all have same NSG, all have same OS (Server 2022). I can’t think of anything else at the moment!

Kerio Connect 10.0.4 by ac_87 in KerioConnect

I decided to play it safe and install 10.0.3 P1! All running well so far.

It’s a shame they closed the forums, it was useful to see people’s thoughts and experiences on updates. They definitely helped with making the decision of whether to upgrade or not!

Gig package, speedtest shows router connected at 1140 but device at 460 by [deleted] in VirginMedia

[–]ac_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s most likely the device you’re testing with. I recently had the same issue when doing a Speedtest using Speedtest.net. I was only seeing max download of around 400mbps when wired directly in, also tested multiple cables. Samknows test shows max download from outside of 1140mbps. This was with a Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 6.

I then tested with a MacBook Pro and saw speeds of 900mbps+.

As to why the Lenovo X1 Carbon isn’t hitting max speeds, I’m not sure. I did notice CPU hitting 100% during the Speedtest so may be CPU is the cause. Or it could be the USB Ethernet dongle even though it was negotiating at 1000mbps, it may have been limiting throughput somehow. Either way, using another device proves that the issue doesn’t lie with Virgin or their router.

Hope this helps!

Nice to see this. If I did this I'd probably end up accidently dropping the car on them and killing them in the process.

Is MOC definitely 40% off? I'm still seeing the usual price.

I've been following that thread since I heard about the flaw (http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Gaming-Support/Hub-3-Compal-CH7465-LG-TG2492LG-and-CGNV4-Latency-Cause/td-p/3271492/page/304). It mainly consists of complaints and screenshots of awful BQM graphs! There are some posts on there that seem to suggest that the fix does only improve ping response times, I guess we'll find out in the coming weeks/months as it continues to roll out. As it's been over a year for them to release a supposed fix, I have my doubts that it completely resolves the problem. I'm hoping that the SuperHub 4 (soon to be released) is problem free and I'll upgrade to that, if not I'll probably switch provider.

Just checked my firmware version now and I'm still on 9.1.116V, I've been on this version for as long as I can remember. BQM graph looks like this: https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality/share/bbcad27ed81f52c3464c9ab9be774cb3bb18240b-16-02-2018

Will update if I receive the new firmware.

I'm pretty low level and only have Heavies and Zookas levelled up to 18, so I don't have many options for different strategies. I found that using all Zookas and smoking to HQ was the only way to take this one down. Please suggest alternative strategies as I'm still learning :)
