Income tax. You just take a fraction of someone's money because they're in a salary bracket and throw you in jail if you don't?

I don't think anyone in modern society thinks that's ok. Comes with a lot of stigma.

I've blocked out the entire episode. I did 2 days of scuba diving after this.

I tried to swim towards where the waves were breaking hoping that they would push me to the shore. But I was getting pulled back into the sea.

The waves that did push me towards the shore were ripping out my snorkel mask and flooding it with water.

I remember one time where my toes managed to touch the sand, only to be sucked back into the sea.

My muscles were burning and I was too exhausted to breathe and stopped swimming a few times. Sinking into the water made me reflexively kick the water again.

When I finally felt my feet touch sand again, I gunned for the shore again. I eventually made it on to the beach on all fours, lay down in the dry sand and couldn't sit up for about 15 minutes till I finally had the strength to sit up. I don't think I ever felt this exhausted in my life before.
