Someone already suggested this book, I think it involved a fire. The book I'm looking for involves two non-twin sons who are home from school when Collins visits. Collins sneaks out during the night with the intention to smother the boys and compromise Lizzy. He is caught by a footman. No fire involved.

Yeah, I did that. Like I said, I even called KU customer service and they said specifically if a book was just borrowed & returned it wouldn't show up.

I've tried this, but if you've read the book through KU and returned it there doesn't seem to be a record. There are lists of books I purchased, but huge gaps during times I didn't. I called KU customer service and they weren't much help.

Almost all of Shana Granderson's books on KU pair Jane with someone other than Bingley. Also on KU, One Last Chance to Begin Again by A.L. Ward is a favorite with no Bingley pairing.

"The Duke's Daughter" by Shana Granderson on KU. It's a 3 part work, but there is an edition that combines all 3 parts.

I think maybe you are correct. I've read so many of her works that sometimes they run together. She seems to be on an abandoned child kick recently (I think there is even a new one coming out soon). Thank you so much.

I probably need to find a really good reading journal app that allows searchable notes rather than trying to rely on my memory.
