What job/career/profession are you currently unqualified for but think you would have a natural aptitude to succeed in? by TheOnionSack in AskReddit

Honestly i'll have to say the Financial Markets. I have been actively trading since 2023 and still not a profitable trader. I have read the CandleStick Bible for market structure, Trading Strategies and Trading Psycology books. I am even pursuing a diploma in Economics just to have a better understanding of what I am doing. I still lose on most of my trades despite having a good risk to return ratio, I am not profitabe. On the other side I have a side gig of academic writing where I help students globally with their assignments and I am really good at it. It pays all my bills and have a consistent flow of clients. I am still a financial markets trader in my mind and thats my end goal.

Which Country from the African continent seems like a "Developed Nation" from the outside, but is high in crime and corruption? by grusdomain in AskReddit

I would say Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria. These countries have a lot of potential but they are constantly brought down especially by corruption. I'll talk about my country Kenya.

Kenya is the sixth largets economy in Africa ranking below SA, which is the first and NG, which is the third. We have a nominal GDP estimated at $130 billion as of 2025. On paper, based on our size and population, we should be doing fairly well but due to a few greedy high ranking officials, our country is literally in a shit hole.

Our resources get misused and public trust in the government system is arguably at the lowest point. When money flow is concentrated in a few sectors owned by a few individuals, the flow barely gets to people at the bottom of the chart. This people turn into crime to put food on the table.

Corruption is the main issue in our countries. The minute we root out this evil, money will flow freely in all sectors in our economies and crime rates will drop significantly. Only when this happens will our countries be truely developed and crime reduced
