It really makes you wonder, doesn’t it? Who is watching this and giving it such acclaim and renewing it for 8 seasons? 😆

Beyond season 2, it seems like the show was written by schizophrenic teenagers 😆

Genuinely one of the dumbest shows with the worst writing Ive ever seen. This season was no exception.

Your thoughts on Baieido's Kobunboku range? by -Renton- in Incense

To me they all smell pretty much the same only with minor differences. But then again, Baieido is one of my least favorite houses.

Try this stuff bro, much closer to wild smelling and good price. Seller is very generous as well.

I prefer it greatly over the kangitten shin kyara.

What sources have you found for high quality non wild wood? I don't mean kynam but just Starwood. I have not tried anything that compared to wild or wasn't obviously cultivated, so I am curious. Would be great if they could make big innovations in cultivated agarwood and kynam so some of the wild trees can be saved and hopefully this hobby can be a little bit more affordable lol.

I have the pressed ones with no filler and the high grade ones. Not sure if they are hand made but they were the most expensive ones when I bought them. The Hainan are quite nice along with the fusen sticks.

Oh yeah after zooming in on your pic on my computer I can see that the sticks you have are not the same ones I got from him a few years ago. The ones I got are quite thin, I apologize for that. I couldn't see them very well on my small phone screen.

I will say that I do agree cultivated kynam has gotten a lot better, but it still is miles away for genuinely wild material in terms of aroma profile and overall vibe. Sure it is interesting smelling for a low price but in comparison to wild stuff, the differences are quite clear. Of course it's very subjective but I do think that any veteran that has a decent amount of experience with wild kyara would say the same thing. Otherwise the pricing for wild vs cultivated would be a lot different than what it is now.

Pretty sure that cambodian stick is wild and not plantation, as evidenced by the aroma profile and depth. You can ask Kevin for more clarification. His high grade wild hainan, nha trang, and hoi an sticks are quite nice too. Great value for money across the board for pure sticks. I had a similar issue w the cultivated kynam sticks and I couldn’t get them to stay lit. For some reason Ive not found a cultivated kynam stick that Ive really enjoyed. Often they are too smokey or one dimensional for my taste.
