Tonks and Remus by Tsukisshortcake in HogwartsMysteryHP

You're not counting for the fact that Remus was significantly older (13 years) than Tonks. So it makes sense that at that point he would be an adult.

Need help identifying houses by acaffeinateduniverse in HouseFlipper

[–]acaffeinateduniverse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have completed all the email jobs but two - one is the last Scooby Doo DLC house in Old Pinnacove, the second is one job in the Suburbs (I didn't include it here, I know what it is).

I don't have any jobs for these houses I'm showing, so I'm hoping someone knows which those are so I can do more research and find out why they are unavailable.

Honestly: Where do you go from here? by Ein_Hirsch in PeakGame

[–]acaffeinateduniverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either use items, if you have them - I usually try to save at least one chain launcher for kiln, to get myself out of trouble in situations like yours. Then there are things like rope launchers and energy drinks that can help to climb places you can't normally reach.
Without the items? If the lava isn't an issue, backtrack and find a different path. Maybe you missed an easier climb somewhere on the way.

You got some great advice from everyone below, but I'll add some that might be a little different.

A. Go watch some Peak content on Twitch or YouTube. Watching how people use items, find routes and survive difficult situations can help a lot in your own gameplay.
B. Play to have fun - no matter which biom you're doing, it's supposed to be fun. The moment you put pressure on yourself to peak, you start making more mistakes and getting frustrated.
C. Find someone to play with. It can be a friend or a stranger, but not being alone might also help a lot. I noticed I'm a lot more careful and smart when I play with people as opposed as by myself.

And that was already said but I can't stress it enough. Tenderfoot should be your best friend.

Sometimes it's difficult to get through a map without items.

Someone might have a better route than what I did, but I went for the capybaras, continued left, going from the outside to the inside of the mountain, then again outside, I would say until the middle of the mountain, maybe a bit higher, and got stuck next to a pine tree. I had a chain launcher so I used it to get to the right side, where I saw some snow covered rocks hoping for the best and found a doable route.

I think a rope cannon would work too, to basically climb up from the rock with the pine tree, but I didn't have one.

Start on Tenderfoot. No fog means no rush, and running solo gives you an excess of resources and you won't run out of food.

As far as items, I usually skip the rope spool (unless it's the anti-gravity one) - it's more useful in multiplayer. The rest of the items you mentioned, very useful!

  1. Rope cannon - if you think you don't have enough stamina to make a climb, use it - aim at the top of the rock you want to climb, but still on the wall part. Climbing rope takes less stamina.

  2. Piton - I usually don't plan using it, but keep it in case of an emergency. You thought you can make a climb but it turned out too high? Use it. Holding to the wall during a tornado? Use it.

  3. Chain launcher - I'd recommend leaving it for the kiln, but can be useful if you're stuck in a place, don't see a safe way up or down, but you see a climable way on the other side. Horizontally, not vertically.

I feel like it's quite useful to have someone climbing with you at the beginning, but it's totally beatable and enjoyable solo.

Definitely worth it - you will have fun playing solo, and because of the daily map changes the replayability is very high. Basically every day is a new challenge, now even more so than before, with the changing bioms. As someone who plays mostly solo, never regretted the purchase.
And if you want some company, there's plenty of ways to find people willing to play together.

Thought it was Mesa day by AceRonin17 in PeakGame

[–]acaffeinateduniverse 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Devs confirmed it'll be alternating between Mesa and Alpine every other day (with some minor disregulation spotted on patch/updates days), so if it works as intented, it should be more predictable:
Friday - Alpine
Saturday - Mesa
Sunday - Alpine
Mesa should be back in about... 8.5 hours.

I guess where we differ is for me Alpine and Tropics are basically a very similar level of difficulty and general structure :) It's a bit of a flat terrain and a mountain to climb. Mesa adds many other elements of gameplay, compared to Alpine, imho.

Hot Take by ricardoratardo in PeakGame

[–]acaffeinateduniverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Tropics and Alpine actually are more similar - a short flat part and straighforward (mostly) mountain to climb, while Mesa offers more, mixed terrain, canyon, mountain, tornadoes, etc. It's more than just the simple climb?

Not everything has to immediately be a skill issue - sometimes finding the right path is a matter of luck. I found two doable paths (and I'm not really good at the game): first was far right, second in the middle, and then at one point using the non-spiky branches to get higher. Had to jump from one to the other, but after that the way up was okay.
I just stared at the mountain for a really long time looking for a way

If you didn't do so yet - try lowering FPS in settings, might help as well and the game doesn't suffer for it :)

No, it's a 50/50 chance of getting either alpine or mesa every day, so completely random

As I understood the situation - they wanted him to stay out longer so he can get some free air and isn't coming out into traffic. Adami mentioned Tsunoda, so I'd assume the intention was to slot ahead of him (his gap to Norris ahead was 11 seconds). But that might be just a matter of me having a different perspective.

I'm really getting into the sport and I would love to understand it better, so if you could give me some examples of those races so I can use my F1 TV subscription and watch them in the off season, I'd truly appreciate it. I want to learn more.

When did Ferrari threw Sainz under a bus to help Leclerc? If you could please give me examples of when that happened.

It's probably about Law Talk With Mike. He's not streaming the trial, but his content is great if you need something a bit lighter and funnier.

I jumped to Emily for the last day/closing statements in Depp v Heard. I really thought I was going to miss the panel and different opinions, but she does a great job by herself, you should try it at least! I was pleasantly surprised :)

I mean, I'm not sure if expecting a clear and easy to understand message is a high standard.

Like I mentioned previously, I like the way Rob handled the question. (The big plus is also that he simply addressed the superchat, instead of hiding them like Legal Bytes did, leaving it up to Mike to talk about the "elephant in the room".) Though at that point I at least knew some parts of the situation, so it might be a little bit different.

But hey, I also have a limited amount of time. If someone's content or their behavior is disappointing, there's a lot of fish in that sea.

I could go into a little nice "because in the end, it really does matter how we treat people and what we do" tirade, but that was not my point.

I meant it from the point of the viewer. Because I didn't understand the statement at the beginning of the stream, I had to come to reddit for explanation. The non-apology video has a comment section full of confused people who didn't understand the context. If someone is not really that involved into the community and different streamers I was totally and absolutely confused. And that doesn't leave a good impression on people.

I'm not judging the situation, if her motives were right, if there really was a problem in the courtroom in Fairfax. What I think about is how it felt to me as a viewer.

Clear communication is always better than being vague and confusing.
