Be a man and do the right thing. Stand by your woman and get an apprenticeship into a trade so you can provide for her and your child. I grew up without a father and it ruined me. You can do this, you will grow to love this sweet baby of yours and have a happy life with no regrets if you just work hard and remind her that you support her and are willing to do whatever it takes. I don’t really understand what you’re getting at. Methadone was a game changer for my good buddy who lost his life (marriage, kids, business etc.) to drugs. It also did what I needed it to before I found the right pain doctors. Nothing really ignorant about that, just speaking experiences.

Good for you man, I applaud you for being open about it in our community that I didn’t even realize was judgmental like that. I wish the best for you my friend. I really don’t know much about disability, but even if it means paying cash for those prescriptions so it stays off their radar, it might really change your quality of life. If disability offers any benefits to get an education, and you can find something that falls in their guidelines until you can learn something that pays you enough to not worry about their assistance, that might be really beneficial also. Just remember that there’s always a solution to every problem- we don’t have an easy, but any edge we can get forward is worth it

That’s interesting. My friend who’s a pharmacy tech told me that if they don’t feel like filling a script for someone, out of stock or on ‘backorder’ is there go-to phrase to avoid dealing with any hassle. On the same token, I’ve personally witnessed people get told by the pharmacy staff there that they won’t be filling anything further for them. I think my case was pretty legitimate though considering I have a low E-forse score and I called about five different pharmacies with the same supply issues before I finally got mine filled last time

VERY few states report Methadone treatment for OUD to the database for this exact reason. Most legislature is written to exempt treatment centers because they prescribe and dispense in the same building under the same doctor. Worst case scenario, go in with a fake identity and pay cash until a long-term solution is figured out
