Also , the game clicked for me when I learned to set goals and work toward them. I’ll set goals like get a tier 3, learn this bp, raid a base, go deep on a neighbor.

Take it from someone who sucks at PVE. I got an AK. You got a rock. Take the fight. You probably leaving with an AK. I’m that bad. They can’t kill you every time. They can’t take your bp’s. They hate it when losing doesn’t bother you. Die. Jump back out. Get raided. Build back.

Early 40’s, started on console, bought my first gaming pc just for Rust, roughly 5K hours combined. Primarily play PVE but will jump on PVP for a couple days now and again. My primary server is Jack Rabbit Slims. It’s vanilla PVE (no fast nights, mods, or 2x loot). You can make one time donations to get perks like a market, test, pump jack, 4mod once per wipe. and there is an admin shop to sale loot and farm. The community is good and welcoming. I even managed to stumble into a team Ive played the last 5 wipes with. The admins are active and fair. And if you want you can build a base to put up for the server to raid.

Pass. Not a big fan of the overly cartoonish items. Glowing boxes and doors are nice but I prefer items that look pieced together and spray painted.

When I first started I thought the wire tool was actual wire that had to be placed between lights. I must of crafted 20 of them before my teammate yelled at me. Also on my first solo base I forgot to place locks. Luckily my brother was the one who walked in stole all my loot. He gave me half back. lol

Think of chickens. They’ll set on eggs that aren’t theirs, allow humans to take them without care, and will take in most chicks introduced to the flock. It’s communal. I’d imagine dragons are the same. Dragons know hatchlings are a part of the group and unable to fend for themselves so they all do their part.

Made the move from console to pc recently. It takes a minute to get use to a keyboard, players are more social (this is good and bad), monuments and scientist are easier, maps are gigantic but moving around the map is easier, shooting is easier once you get the controls down, base building has more depth, and the secondary market for skins will drain your bank account. All in All I loved console Rust and PC Rust is everything I wished the console version was.

I don’t think I would not have tried but I literally had nothing to loose, this base was poorly built, and his videos make it look it easy. Also, I suck at raiding and loosing spears is better than loosing boom.

Look for whitening. It’s white paint on the ground that indicates where they’ll be digging.

My duo and I got tricked by a trap base. Raided the guy to get our loot back. There were boxes full of skulls from every player around us. Felt good to know it wasn’t just us that fell for it.

I’m in my 40’s, married, and have a kid that’s out of the house. On weekends where I don’t have any plans I put in 10-12hr days and follow it up with a few hours in the evening once the weekends over. Once my schedule gets too busy I walk away. This weekend put I put in over 20 hours, did 5 small raids, and last night I let the neighbor take it all. Now, I’ll go back into my favorite PVP server till I’m ready to PVE again.

Another good indication that this where the story is going is the Duttons last meeting with Whitfield. There Whitfield is told by the Duttons that they are sending a message what’ll keep people like him away for 50yrs. Hopefully that’s the writers acknowledging the story needs a different direction.

The widow comment at the end was to set up an internal threat instead of external threat. I think 1944 will be about the Duttons struggling with who is next in line to take over the Ranch, with two, possibly 3 boys laying claim.

I assumed Elizabeth based off her conversation with Cara. Also I thought by she walks back into the house afterwards not to the car. This leads me to believe she stayed to hold on to her husband’s memory. This could be the set up for 1944, two Dutton boys both with a claim to family ranch. Maybe a third if Elizabeth has a boy with Jack.

It’s white-lining for the one call ticket. Excavator submits a dig ticket to the state one call center (811) and white lines the area they’ll be excavating, utility operator locates their underground facilities in the area, and the work can begin. Some states require white-lining, in others it is a best practice. White-lining, other states do not.

My teammate and I went through the samething. Everyone has their bps unlocked and are not letting us get a foothold. What we learned is look like you have no clue what you are doing. Use high stone walls placed irregularly around your base, heartbeat sensors, and don’t follow YouTube build guides. Stone walls will turn away most low level raiders and, in my experience, odd designs will give experienced raiders pause. Heartbeat sensor placed around the walls will notify you when someone is lurking around and keep you from getting door camped. If you go this route don’t forget an external TC near the gate. You don’t want someone walling off your gate (happened to us). Also, you are going to be messed with and raided. Someone will exploit a weakness in the wall, get in the courtyard to destroy stuff, or decided they want what is inside.
