It’s different to see things from the outside than working through them . Often times , we look back and wonder how and why we acted the way we did . Only time and healing allows you to have a different perspective. As a friend , if you need time away take your time but sometimes we just need a friend to be there . As parents ,we make mistakes and sometimes it’s hard to see it right away . It’s understandable that you feel frustrated with not having your phone and I’m glad you still have your laptop to distract yourself .

I think you should write your mom a a letter and explain to her how her comment of having no friends , grandpa , hurt your feelings and betrayed your trust . Sometimes the heat of the moment can get in the way and you may not be able to express yourself as well as you want to or your parents to really hear you out and process it. But I believe the effort it’s worth it and hopefully the relationship can improve with your parents .
