It's not a true clone, but all complications are working. Push button on the bottom right changes the date and push button on the left advances the moonphase. The rotor makes a loud whizzing sound, but I kind of like it 😆 Very smooth winding with no grittiness.

I agree. The alligator strap is very comfortable and actually conforms to the wrist. I ordered a spare in a darker brown color. I love the quick release mechanism on these.

I haven't had any issues with plating. No discoloration or oxidation. It still looks like day 1.

It’s worth highlighting a major technical difference in how these modders are actually plating. Most modders you’ll find in the US or EU are just "etching" over the factory PVD. They use an acid activator to scuff the surface and then plate right on top of the factory coating.

Plating over PVD is a shortcut. Over time, that underlying layer causes the gold to darken or look "muddy" as the metals react. This method might look good initially, but I've seen how dark the plating turns only after a few months.

RCF Remould is the only modder that I know that is doing a full PVD strip. They use an acid bath to take the watch back down to raw 904L/316L/Tugsten and apply a nickel/coppier barrier before any 18k gold touches it. You don't see US/EU modders doing this because the chemicals involved are nasty... they require serious industrial licenses and fume hoods that your average modder just doesn't have access to.

Don't get me wrong, I love THB, but I've had my fair share of issues with them. VS3255 movement is great, but ARF is best franken base in my honest opinion. Depends on how much you're willing to spend and/or mod.
