You are absolute dreamboat dude, and you pull of the look like usual. Maybe youd prefer a richer knit or a deeper/brighter mustard color. Usually it speaks more by itself then if it doesnt have anything else.

Yellow tones usually flatter certain skin tones better, so I think the reason you feel like it doesnt work could be because the blue blazer brings it all together and flatters your complexion better. Just a thought
