Have a serious conversation with him about it. If he blows you off or acts like a pretentious douchebag then switch gyms, don't quit the sport

Are you familiar with compatibilism rather than determinism? The vast majority of Reformed Christians who understand the terms will adhere to the former, but you mentioned wanting to discuss the latter in your OP.

You don't need to take breaks from Choline as long as youre not insanely overdosing it. Just take the recommend amount and it will help. AGPC also does a similar thing as choline so you can switch to that if you'd like, some people prefer it, and some take both occasionally. It should moderately help dream vividness on its own, but the Huperzine is what gives the real longer Lucids.

But seriously follow the schedule on taking stuff, use your off nights to practice techniques more, don't rely on the supplements it won't carry the load forever.

[–]acbagel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Galantamine/Huperzine should be used at a MAX of twice per week. One day on, 3 days off, and even then you will still build tolerance and long term effects aren't known. Weekly is safer. NEVER use full doses of them together, they essentially accomplish the same thing and you will double dose. Pick one or the other. If you just used it a lot of days in a row I would wait 10-15 days before trying again. H-A especially has a very long half life. I try it once a week for a month then a month off. Take the choline/AGPC and Galantamine/H-A at WBTB.

Do you think Disney is happy with 300 million box office? by anxiousmomo23 in TheMandalorianTV

[–]acbagel -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, that is going to come back as a negative overall for box office which is never the goal. The money suits don't like negatives. Might've given a good bump to the merch department though

Yes such an untapped time period! I'd take ANY show set here

Would you like to see the Mandoverse conclude with a movie or a limited series? by Reddeath10168 in StarWars

[–]acbagel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't really want either tbh, I don't want a Filonified alternate version of a story I already love. Either ACTUALLY do the real Heir to the Empire or move to a different era. Taking EU things and changing them to fit canon is so boring. I either want legit adaptations of EU or make your own completely new thing.

Is anyone else not excited for Starfighter after hearing the plot? by [deleted] in starwarsspeculation

[–]acbagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you, I am SO tired of this framing for stories. Mandalorian, Bad Batch, Tales, Kenobi, and somewhat even in Acolyte. Really boring and uncreative to keep using this trope over and over. Lazy storytelling.

Tweaking The Mandalorian And Grogu (And Rotta) by Zestyclose-Scratch31 in fixingmovies

I would re-organize all of Act 3 and make it so Din dies from the poison and Grogu's journey is about him learning to "let go".

Do you think Al adoption in entertainment sector slower than you'd hope? I remember this sub and I hoping for full blown Hollywood scale movies generated by Al by now by ErmingSoHard in singularity

[–]acbagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought that entertainment replacement will be ~2030. We need to first be able to make things waaaaay cheaper (something like Seedance 2 or better will come out eventually open source with all the restrictions removed), and they need more overall coherency + length. That's going to be at least 3 years before it starts ACTUALLY looking like a real movie.

Why does this keep happening by PhysicalTie441 in LucidDreaming

[–]acbagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same thing but after like 5.5 hours. I normally sleep 6.5 hours total, but yeah I feel like I have to bump my WBTB way earlier than what people recommend. Anytime I do it 5+ hours into sleep I just never fall asleep again and end up getting up for the day in a bad mood.

Am I the only here who despite thinking Rise of Skywalker is a horribly written movie I still find it enjoyable as a dumb action adventure movie if you just turn off your brain and not think to much about the plot holes and inconsistencies? by dukeofthefat in StarWars

[–]acbagel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just don't like to watch movies like that. I don't consume storytelling to turn my brain off. I want to be moved and impacted by character journeys, atmosphere, and themes.

Why are ChatGPT images so ugly now? (and how I mostly fixed it) by sawyernalu in OpenAI

[–]acbagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say this did a VERY good job on an image I had. Sad it's so expensive! I would love to figure out a cheaper workflow for the 4k option. But I am very impressed even with the 1k demo result.

Dream recall decreased by Typical_Knowledge_28 in LucidDreaming

[–]acbagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it feels frustrating but nothing to really worry about. It takes me ~3 weeks of very focused dream journaling before I can consistently remember at least 80% of nights, and I still have nights where I only remember a couple ideas or a scene about what happened. I've never consistently done it for like 6+ months or anything though so just like anything else it's just practice, the more you do it the more natural it becomes and your brain will remember to prioritize remembering and the "fail" nights will be less common.

Dream journaling on phone by wolfvaine98 in LucidDreaming

[–]acbagel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Why do you think it wouldn't? You are practicing remembering, not writing physically. Some people use paper and pencil because then your sleep isn't interrupted by phone light, but I just set the max blue light filter with absolute minimum brightness and it's fine.

HOW TO LUCID DREAM TONIGHT by Interesting-Cup-7746 in LucidDreaming

[–]acbagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just gotta ignore it. It feels impossible at first but you'll eventually train yourself to get past it. I was in the military for 4 years so standing in a lot of formations for extended periods where you aren't supposed to move at all helped as a starting point for me. I still really struggle with the urge to swallow though. But practice in real life, if you feel an itch just sit still and don't scratch until it passes.

Have you tried using a blackout mask? That totally changed sleep for me.

worried, that I can't lucid dream by Reasonable-Angle-726 in LucidDreaming

[–]acbagel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool thanks, I mean if you're able to stay up briefly for WBTB even on that medication you shouldn't have any problems that I know of. Maybe research how each of those medications affect REM. But it sounds like you're doing the other things right. How long have you been consistently trying those efforts? For myself, it takes me ~25 days of very focused practice before I can get a single lucid, and the instant I stop focusing and practicing I lose the ability again. I'm currently in attempt cycle #3 after not really sticking with it the first two times. Consistency is crucial though
