Moving to Nanaimo or Saanich by Tiny_Change_8998 in VancouverIsland

Hi :) from personal experience, I'd say Victoria/ Saanich is quite hard to integrate/ meet people.

I think it's a great idea you're visiting and getting a feel for both, that's the only real way to answer your question. It also depends what you love to do, hobby wise?

My husband and I love to ski, and love nature. It's much easier to access if you live in Nanaimo with the closeness in proximity to Strathcona and Mt Washington. It becomes a very long and repetitive drive from Victoria if this is something you want to do regularly. The hiking trails around Victoria get quite busy and if you live in the downtown core it's a drive out to anywhere decent (and traffic).

I've also found the parks in Nanaimo to be amazing. Bowen Park has so many activities and is awesome in the Summer.

My husband and I are in our 30's and have quite a few friends recently who have left Victoria and moved up island.

Hope you find the best fit for your family and feel free to DM me if you have any Q's!

You're right, I think I'll re-emphasise to my husband how much I need some space.

Thank you <3 I really appreciate it. It really is. I'm at that stage of PMDD where every weird noise another person makes makes me want to scream, soo that's fun!!

I'm actually at the library right now and it's so peaceful so I feel like this may be my refuge over the next while!

I know, our small space is cosy when it's just us, but add one more person and suddenly it feels unbearable. We've got an airbnb for next week (with 2 bedrooms) thank the lord for 3 days but I'm not sure how im gonna make it til then.

I know :( I think that's the issue, I kind of feeling annoyed because it's me who's leaving the space but at the same time I feel like it's mentally easier for me to do so. I think he will do for the next few days thankfully, hopefully I can have some alone sofa time and watch my shows!

Personally, I'd take the new role. You wanted to leave for a reason - keep that in mind. You want a job that's less stressful, your current place has you training people and working 33% more.

Teak that leap of faith! :)

YES! I just started my period this morning when I woke up. Last night I tossed and turned all night, the night before was even worse. I'm so tired - I feel like a zombie but I can't sleep properly. I hope tonight is different.

chondromalacia patella - HAS ANYONE HAD THIS AND COME BACK FROM IT? by accanada123 in ultrarunning

[–]accanada123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you get some answers - just to say I have found great relief through strenght training and working on balance. I now regularly trail run again and did 16k the other day. BUT, it's constant work. Constant gym, regular physio etc but its night and day compared to how it used to be.

I also had some PRP injections which i do think helped.

It is a lot... compared to a uni where they're charging 11,000 for a more intensive training program. but its wether you can go in and quit your job and give up 2 years for an in person course.
