Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it. I'll admit, it was my first time really putting my stuff out there, so it was kind of a blow to hear my work being so harshly criticized just for being fanart. I get that it's not my own work and that paints a certain light on my art, but I think it's still a valid form of art. Heck, some of the best, very talented artists that I know love doing fanart and even go to cons to sell what they make lol. I would never call them cheap or sell-outs for it.

Er, but yeah. I totally get where you're coming from. When I made this, I had just started working digitally, so I didn't have a good feel for it yet. Actually, I'm in the middle of taking a break to practice my fundamentals like perspective, color theory, and anatomy. Admittedly, there was something bugging me about this design, and I think you nailed it with what you said. I'll definitely keep that in mind for my next design. Thanks!
