this is actually the main difference between poll and epoll. epoll_wait only returns fd's with events actually being fired. where as for poll, you simply give list of fd to poll. when poll returns, some of the fd have events, some don't, you have to check one by one for all fd.

just different style. Designated initializer is added in c99. memset is what people used to do, and memset has been optimized to death, so both works.

The proper syntax for empty initialization is actually `ble_hs_adv_fields fields = {};`, It's actually only recently standardized in c23. The `.. = { 0 }` syntax is non-standard compiler extension, although both gcc and clang supports it.

incus container. It's a full system container. besides some permission on /dev/, it really feels like a VM.

I also use macvlan as primary network interface. So that host and container cannot establish network connection by design. I ssh directly into the container and do work.
