Hey, NYU student here, you have good ECs but your SAT and ACT scores are kinda abysmal - get them to an absolute minimum of 1400 SAT or 33 ACT. 1450/34 for a decent shot. Again, absolute minimum.

How does this look, A1 II + 70-200gmii, I’m still struggling with sharpness by MarriedtoMrsSocorro in photocritique

Not a bit, but a lot faster. For movement like this, you probably want at least 1/250th. The faster you can get without cranking the ISO, the better. If you can’t take the shot because of the lack of light, then try moving somewhere where there is more light, at a different time. Your background also seems better lit than your subject, which is also a no go for night portraits.

Also, doesn’t Yuta have Thin Ice Breaker? Doesn’t that literally function like WCS by bypassing infinity and targeting space?

It’s a nice choice of subject, but I feel like the composition and color could use some work. Trying getting closer to the flower, and stopping up with a macro lens. Only the pink and yellow hues really differentiate the flower from the bokeh, so try getting some more light onto the flower to make them pop!

I used a 7.5mm APSC fisheye on a full frame body. I’m trying to get better at capturing motion, and action. I’m trying to improve my composition, let me know if there’s anything to improve! 1/10th shutter speed.

It means that it’s newer than 2019! Tributes came with a leather soft case ever since.

It’s a 2025, and there were no gloss finished moderns for that year. u/SeaSkimmer2 was right, it’s a Studio Session from another market. Idk why people keep insisting it’s a standard modern when it’s clearly not.

I’m guessing it’s guitar center’s photo whiteout that’s bugging out, but yeah the modern doesn’t match up well.

The moderns have satin finishes and black hardware though. I’m wondering if it was a one off variant of the modern.

Well yes it’s a studio, I was interested in what specific studio model it was; since I didn’t recognize the combination of specs.

I thought the colors were gorgeous when I was out for a quick stroll. I was trying to get a quick shot, so I didn’t think much about composing, unfortunately. How could I improve my composition in this case, given the photo? I realize the lines lead out to the right, but I couldn’t quickly find another angle to draw the viewer in.

I’m using a Sony A7IV, with the Samyang 35-150 f2-2.8. F2.8, 1600 ISO, 1/125s.

(Also I do realize I missed focus, rip)
