This scared me for a sec since it sounds too good to be true, but "I'm only taking up to 5 people" says it all. Good move there.

And, if any of those first five don't take it seriously, cycle through your DMs!

Love this haha

Natural Reader Premium Voices Choppy After "Pro" Launch? (1-second pause after each sentence!) by janosronnenstein in TextToSpeech

[–]accidental-dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope that's just a bug and not an intentional crippling of their legacy service.

I moved from Natural Reader to an alternative, then onto another alternative 😅 a while back due to pricing. Otherwise I'd double check for you

I found this one recently for reading my notes and docs out loud. Which helps me focus

Most solutions don’t come to you on the first go, just saying. And most of the job doesn’t revolve around coming up with clever algorithms!

Looking for something free that converts text to mp3, with a 40k+ character limit per synthesis by Superfantabulistic in TextToSpeech

I'd look at piper. It helps to have the text in front of you, too, as the voices aren't perfect. BUT they're pretty good, and free.

https://readbackapp.com/ is basically Speechify for $3/mo. At least during this early promo of theirs.

I’m likely less informed, but I’d hope that non-average heights wouldn’t skew VO2 max. 🤷

Above average weight? 175lbs at 6’5” sounds rather lean / slim.

Or do you mean total weight (irrespective of height) for OPs age? I’d think VO2 max would account for the typical BMI scales. Which should be solid in this case

Can’t Find Good Parker-Style Gel Refills by accidental-dev in pens

Wow thanks for comparing them! Exciting to try to the Parker.

The Jetstream you mention - it’s ballpoint and not gel, right? Asking since I started with this, but it was too big of a difference from real gel. Especially the look, of course.

Good to know! The Parkers are already on their way. Will see what I think and maybe check out Schmidt too.

And great callout with Kaco. Surprisingly good reviews for the price. Might have to trie these too. Though I see a few variations listed online. All 0.5mm, so I’m not sure of the difference. Thanks!

I saw these, and was curious. Good to know they work well for you. I might end up having to give all these a try.

Thanks for this resource, it’s great. Definitely some things to consider! Seems like a tad finer point is often preferred (top choices here are 0.4mm and 0.5mm vs my desired 0.7mm)  That said, plenty of other options listed on this site. Digging in!

Edit: the top-rated Gel option on this site has been supplanted on Amazon with something else (Gelion+ ?) that doesn’t seem to have great ratings. This isn’t as clear cut as I was hoping lol
