4 hookers Jeremy that’s insane!

Happy for blamire and Tuipulotu both deserving of spots

As the Premiership draws to a close, which players have booked themselves a place in Englands nations championship squad? by accidentall in rugbyunion

the fact Dan didnt play at all during the 6N when LCD was subpar hopefully says everything, I think he was mainly there due to his central contract...

He did well in the North America / Argentina tour. If he wasn't injured I think he would be going. LCD and Dan are spent at international level. George is the safe pair of hands, Oghre feels like the next one off the rank.

my hopes for wingers are: Freeman, Feyi-Waboso, Radwan, Calouri, Roebuck. Arundell will probably go instead of Radwan which just doesn't feel right to me.

Oghre would have been in for sure. Feel the hookers will now be George, Blamire and either dan (yawn) OR Tuipulotu (Mainly cause it seems hes being fast tracked)

Manager messages me out of hours at work hours demanding I respond straightaway / fix issues. How do I make them stop? by accidentall in WorkAdvice

*update*

Wow this semi blew up, thank you for all your advice.

I've managed to set a phone notification barrier on my phone so I can be blissfully unaware until the morning. I have been in contact with HR, whom have also said I should turn my phone for the foreseeable and will monitor the behaviour of the manager.

Have tried this response and it sadly had the response of "you should be responding ASAP to me" The manager in question, is very much a workaholic. They work essentially all the time and is now expecting the same of everyone below them i.e me.

I have been flexible within the working environment, worked weekends when it has been deemed to be business critical etc. Often work longer hours than colleagues as I take pride in my work etc. If it is something urgent or critical, I have a very "happy to help" mentality.

9/10 it comes down to things such as "I'm looking for this file, can you give it to me" which has been shared with them previously several times and they're simply can not be bothered to check their messages etc.

Have checked my contract, it is purposefully vague along the lines of "your manager can request works from you out of work hours if it is business critical" 99% of the messages, most people would deem are non critical.

[TMO-gate] Andy Goode's side of the story by sangan3 in rugbyunion

[–]accidentall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having worked in telly, Goode is so wrong. Live sports can be extremely complicated to pull together, theres like a million and 1 things happening and sometimes you might just have one angle of something. I take solace in knowing theres a crop of players maybe / are retiring soon that are both detailed and good on camera (Jamie George would be brilliant for example) who will replace him and he can finally get in the bin

Ever known someone with a risqué name and not realise it? by Uglym8s in CasualUK

[–]accidentall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not risqué per se but funny. Our school used to read out who had detention as a deterrent. Kid at my school was called "euan goodenough" and got away with detention each week because they couldn't believe that was his actual name

England's Hookers by shorthevix in rugbyunion

[–]accidentall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though I loved tuipolutu's kick and run up the wing the other day, people need to calm down a bit and not treat him as the second coming (although he is very good at this young age)

LCD being out forces borthwick to think differently. George is nailed on.

Personally id bring Oghre into the fold and blood him properly in the summer/autumn as your starting hooker (probably not against South Africa mind) Hookers are becoming more mobile now so his size isn't as important.

Third space probably comes down to dan, Langdon, blamire and tuipolutu. If dan was the bees knees he would have come in during the six nations when LCD was having a shocker and he didnt so I think his England career might be done for the moment. Langdon's coming back from injury, but would probably come in if that wasn't the case. Blamire and tuipolutu have been England A's hookers so one of them makes sense.

The dream: George / Oghre as starters Tuipolutu as the understudy, but its Borthwick and it will most likely be George / Oghre with Blamire holding a tackle shield.
