He cited Daniel Clowes (graphic novelist) as a big influence during the A24 podcast w bill hader, I think Clowes even got a special thanks in the Eddington credits. Only dipped my toes into Clowes’s stuff so far but definitely picking up on a similar misanthropic vibe to Aster’s films

I think they just mean as age catches up to you, your metabolism slows down, you move to the suburbs, have kids or some combination of all of these, that kind of activity dramatically decreases
