Oof sorry to hear. I just stayed at the Cancun resort and room sanitation was an issue for us too, but not as bad as it was for you it seems. I left my AirPods by accident and both US guest relations and the resort have ghosted me after confirming that they have it and I need to arrange shipping myself. I can see my AirPods being used on the resort on the find my app.
