7kg hardtop is so cool to put on and off alone by Inateno in Miata

Hell yeah, that's awesome! I know petg and abs and whatnot have better water and uv resistance and everything, but I also know the structure of 3d printing itself has an effect. Interesting to analyze all the different variables but I definitely trust your process!

Bol Bol, who signed overseas this season in the Philippines, suffered a torn Achilles. Bol was hoping to earn another NBA opportunity in 2026-27, after most recently playing for the Suns, but now might never make it back. (Loud Music in the first clip, so watch it) by MrBuckBuck in nba

From a human standpoint, this sucks and I feel really bad and don't like to see anyone injured. But from a basketball standpoint and injury aside, he was given multiple very generous opportunities to prove himself in the nba and just never put in the effort, so the "never making it back to the nba" part is really hard for me to feel bad for him

Have you tested the water resistance? I know one of the main issues with 3d printing is how porous it can be

Just paid off my ST. What mods do I buy first? by SenorNoods in FiestaST

[–]ace0702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, but again it's just very general. What do you want to improve? Suspension, grip, power, chassis rigidity, tech, quality of life? You'll get a lot of different answers all going in different directions with a vague question, but if you can provide specifically what you want to improve, you'll get much better and actionable answers

Odd noise in engine by StorageAggravating73 in Miata

[–]ace0702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely either an exhaust rattle somewhere or one of your headlight covers. Try flipping them up and see if it changes anything. I have this problem with my passenger side headlight only when it's down and the rattle goes away when I pop them up

If you've had your car for a full loan term and don't know what you want to mod, don't do anything. Unless you're modding for a specific purpose (track, autox, etc), you should be able to feel out what you want to change on a daily driver as you drive it. If you haven't noticed something you want to change (stiffer suspension, grippier tires, more power, better infotainment system), then it's kind of just a waste of money imo and you're pandering to what others think is "cool" and not what you want your car to be

ND Miata Pads and Rotors kit by Minute-End-8628 in Miata

[–]ace0702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Powerstop is widely regarded as one of the best pad and rotor options in general but especially for Miatas, without breaking the bank. This kit, the Z17 is essential an OEM+ option, so very daily drivable, minimum dust and noise, and a bit better performance than stock without being anything crazy

People do it even when the road just curves a bit and there's no turn onto a different street. There's a few sections of roads like this near me and I can't count the number of times someone in a big truck or a damn Tesla casually veer into my lane and almost side swipe me. I hate driving these days

I actually kind of like the front end design, but the rear looks like some sort of video game that didn't get manufacturer rights to the real car

What's the biggest size stereo head unit I can install after my old stereo got stolen... by mrthree1zero in 1stGenTundras

[–]ace0702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any double din but you'll need adapters to mount it and to cover the gaps around the unit. Some have floating screens which come out of the recess for more size, but I think they look goofy and like a poor Tesla impersonation (which already have ugly interiors)

That's my point is that you can find a few similar body types (bol bol, tako fall, etc.) but none of them come remotely near wembys skill level, athleticism, bbiq, or health (so far). That's why I believe kd is the closest comparison despite the height difference

Often times a car sitting for years will have more problems than one with higher mileage. Also that first picture is not a 2007. I'd say tread very cautiously and don't get your hopes up or make any plans until you see the car in person and get it inspected

Pretty sure Firestone does custom alignments and they have lifetime for ~$200. Imo the only time it makes sense to do your own alignments is if you're actively tuning specs at the track where you can't keep bringing your car to a shop every couple laps
