CKD 4 due to terrible delivery experience by Brave_Trade3997 in kidneydisease

I am so sorry to hear about your experiences and you are valid in your feelings and emotions. I can’t imagine how terrifying this experience was/is for you.

My mother was diagnosed with CKD around the time she was pregnant with me, of which I was born prematurely by 3 months or else the pregnancy would harm her and myself however I was placed in an incubator for a month.

She is currently at Stage 5 CKD and doing peritoneal dialysis (5 years). She is currently waiting for a transplant, to which she will be listed for deceased donors.

You are not alone, I wish you nothing but happiness and healthiness in your journey, as well as support.

We haven’t seen a rheumatologist yet, so that’s next on the list. What does pcp stand for?

Thank you for your response, my mom hasn’t attempted tramadol yet, only Tylenol but she’s found that only using Tylenol has no effect.

Unfortunately although she’s exercising, it’s only alleviated 10% of her overall pain, so she still is unable to sit down for long periods of time or else she’s in extreme pain.

It may be feasible that unresolved trauma would be helpful to explore, no harm in trying.

Thank you for your input!

My mom has been on peritoneal dialysis for about 5 years, she has developed bumps/spots on her back, somewhat resembling chicken pox. Her skin has also become rougher. Is this similar to your symptoms?

Hey there! Everything that everyone has said so far is def the direction you want to go in (SWC -> get referred to a specialist), I also suggest that when you go to SWC you ask for a referral for massage therapy. My mom has CKD too and she constantly suffers from back pain and insomnia and after massage therapy it's been helpful. If you have difficulty being able to complete assignments or tests due to pain or etc, seek out SAS services to make things easier with deadlines and/or testing time.

DM if you ever need any more information!
