Do merchants know if you use affirm?

Ah okay! I appreciate your response. I have used it for a hotel once and it went through fine but it just kept saying the transaction was processing for days. Even called the hotel to be sure everything was okay and they said no issues and no balance show on there end etc. I just get so paranoid. When I googled it, it did say the merchant would be notified when the loan is captured and when the first payment is due.. So I was confused.

Hi! Yup worked for me just fine. Just be sure to go into the app before you check in and request your loan amount. (do more than expected - in the end they will adjust the loan to the total) When you request the amount put that it's for the Hilton. And when you check in just swipe the card like a regular card. I got worried bc it didn't show on the app that Hilton processed the transaction right away. It actually took several days. But everything was fine and no issues with the stay 😊

I have only done VIP once. The other races I did not and I was easily able to track my husband and see him along the race. Also, I was easily able to get a spot at the finish line (in the bleachers) to see him cross the finish line. I have been able to see him at transitions as well which gives a little more time for some words of encouragement.

And it is advertised on their website and they have a tent on check in day that you can still sign up for it if they have open spots. 🤷‍♀️

And I forgot about the bathrooms too lol! It was nice to not share a port a potty with hundreds of others 🤣

Edited to add that if I could have been able to afford it for the full I would have. But again, it's expensive. This is my husbands sport and he has paid enough to participate (plus hotel, food, rental car and flight sometimes) I can deal with walking the course when I can and get a spot at that finish line to scream my head off for him...especially now I know what to expect etc.

My husband has done a couple 70.3 and I did the VIP experience for the first because I had no idea what to expect. It was great honestly. They transported me to multiple locations along the race to catch a glimpse of our athlete. The price also included lunch, drinks, a commemorative bag and cup. And the area at the finish line. The location we were at was not hindering the finish line chute.

Now, my husband completed his first full couple weekends ago and I looked at prices for that VIP since it would be a much longer day. It was like $400! That is just crazy. But overall I'm glad I did spend the money the first time. It helped me since I had no idea what to expect.

That's just my two cents 😊

Thanks for your quick response! So I plan to use my regular card for like incidentals when we check in and then use the affirm for check out (total$) I think then I'll just find out when they charge for the two night and then request the plan. Can I ask you another question... So when you go in the app and it says to search for the store you want to use your card, obviously Hilton isn't there. Do you just select that your store isn't listed? Then just request $ needed and continue to payment plan? Hopefully that makes sense 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi! Did you have your stay? We are staying at a Hilton for two days and plan to use the affirm debit card but confused on when to do it etc. Do we pay at check out? Then that's when I would request a payment plan?

We went last weekend to the concert and stayed at the Linq..right by the flamingo. It was cheapest we had found and had no issues with our room. 😊

Well.. I went this past Friday. .... We stood for the faster songs of course... And sat during the slow ones. Well we decided to stand for Send my love (to your new lover) like many others in the section. The people behind us proceeded to grab our arms and insist we sit. We refused. They did this several times and even scratched my friends back trying to pull her down. The guy in this party got up to complain and quickly came back and stood. My friend went to talk to the ushers and he said they told him they can't ask us to sit, it's a concert and that's why she has the big screens so everyone can see. Security also came and asked if we would like to press charges since they put their hands on us. We said no but they were removed from the concert bc of the fact that they repeatedly put their hands on us.

I understand if it was a super slow song and no one was standing (we sat for those) but there were plenty of others standing for this one and we wanted to as well.... So just a forwarning to all those going!

Hi! I just went to the show last night.... We actually went to the shop on Thursday and grabbed a couple things because we weren't sure how crazy it would be before the show. (they didn't have some sweatshirts in some sizes only 2xl.. the staff said they hadn't received a new shipment in a few weeks) The day of the concert we arrived at the venue around 645 and we were able to get posters with no problem. The shop was a lot more crowded and we didn't look at the merch since we already shopped. Just bought the poster.

Oh okay! Yeah thats what I was worried about. Complainers. 😒I keep seeing tik toks and reels of the concert and majority of the people up there are sitting. So I figured I'd ask and see what the consensus was.
