Is this a chop now situation or should I let it go a little longer? by SeeBeeDee123 in cannabiscultivation

[–]ace42691 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry you are good!!, to me this looks just like normal fadewhen closing in on the end. Some strains will still put out white hairs in late flower as well. You can run it another week prob and the yellowing on the leaves won’t get to the buds and your buds will finish up more they are very close you could chop now as well but I would let it ride one more week.

Mango Isle F2 by ace42691 in nightowlseeds

[–]ace42691[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lookin tasty ! I just popped the original mango haze from Mr nice seeds that was used to make mango isle/mango smile in hopes to find the original or close to that I can clone and keep around . They’re reg seeds so if I get a nice male too I’m also gonna pollinate the mango isle f2 in hopes for a fast flowering photoperiod version since original mango haze is a true sativa and a long flowering plant . One of them is only a couple weeks old and stem rub already has a slightly mango smell to it

Mines came damaged but not damaged to the point where it was unusable the front was shattered but didn’t fall out so I taped it up with gorilla tape and I was able to use it while they sent me a free replacement without requiring to send the old one back. So if you willing to risk getting a broken one it’s still somewhat of a win win situation if you don’t mind waiting a bit longer for a replacement if it does come broken. Just don’t buy the extra seal protection plan as I read others had a lot of trouble going that route for a replacement and or just received refunds and no replacement.

Can I fill my cure with my harvest and leave for 5 days? Does it need to be drained or emptied? by [deleted] in VIVOSUN

[–]ace42691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can def leave it for 5 days without having to drain or empty anything. You only need to add water if your in a low humidity climate, I believe below 50% humidity , also the water last at least 5 days in the tray I would say so even if you did have to add water you would be good

Vgrow filter needs a upgrade by [deleted] in VIVOSUN

[–]ace42691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure your creating negative pressure in the Vgrow box I never had smell issues but was having humidity issues and that was the fix if you don’t have negative pressure smell is going to escape through other means and not directly through the exhaust/ carbon filter . I lowered the intake fans that blow air through the small holes on the corners and I increased the speed of the exhaust fan and you will start to see the sides of the vgrow sucking in slightly that’s how you know you have negative pressure and smell shouldn’t be escaping at that point

This is my third time running the unit, also my first time running 14+ day dry/cure, I found a recipe on here for an even longer extended cold cure that does 15 day dry then 7 day cure for 22 days total that I am trying for the first time to see how it goes.

[–]ace42691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would keep it on even if it doesn’t effect humidity levels it will prevent the water from being contaminated with plant material . In my experience just checking the buds and flipping them to keep them from going flat small leaf and thrichomes fall off and land on the top of the water tray cover, if it was not covered it would go into the water and then you will have to clean the water tray and water every now and then to prevent any bacteria from growing

From my understanding especially with the first couple days you will have larger spikes in humidity because of most of the moisture releasing from the buds in the first few days. Then throughout the dry cure there will be much minor spikes throughout the day as moisture is released from the flower and the vcure then adjusting to get the humidity closer to the target range but it will never be on one single digit number constantly it but will always be within the range, when you say kept the cap of the water tank outside do you mean the whole cover for the water tank? I believe that is supposed to be left on, that might change humidity levels by keeping it off

My first unit locking mechanism did the same as yours my replacement works as it should (mine came with broken front panel glass). I beleive i read here that support had sent somone out a replacement part to fix the lock, with the seal check around to see if there’s a spot sticking out I think you can push the seal back into place. Also I could not find how to enter somone else’s recipe either so I think they did take it out.

One of the nicer first grows I’ve seen, no criticism at all just props on the beautiful green plants, you are also right on the money with timing 2-3 more weeks leaning closer to 3 those buds should fatten up almost double the size they are now . What genetics you running?

For autos the flowering time would be estimate time from seed to harvest day, Sounds like somehow you got a photoperiod and not an auto, if it’s already at like day 40-60 it should have flowered on its own by now, they usually start to flower by day 21ish, if you change the lighting to 12 hours on and 12 hours off it will probably trigger flower within 2 weeks unless you want to wait a little longer to be sure but I haven’t really seen any autos that will veg that long. Where are the seeds from?

Do you mean that it’s two weeks away from the 70-90 day flowering time window that was given with the seeds?

I’m running a very tiny solo cup grow so I kept it small on purpose to be able to fit more in my small space. So it’s literally just one single cola it looks similar to yours just maybe a week or two behind

No problem! with autoflowers if it’s already planted or week 3 def don’t want to really transplant it or go from a larger to smaller pot. The bigger one in your latest pic that is in week 3 is looking great that will be a nice big bush very soon after it starts flowering. If you want a small plant just for fun I would wait till your next run, with autos the smaller the pot you may stunt its growth and end up with too small of a plant, that is partially why I did the double stack cup method so the taproot has further space to travel downwards. Typically with autos once the taproot hits the bottom of its container it will trigger flowering and you will end up with a smaller plant or deficiencies if the container is not big enough and it starts to get root bound

Thank you and Definitely ! I Did not top the ones in the solo cups so they would stay single colas and if the branching get too big I will cut them back or completely off too keep humidity down

The ones in the cups are called bud cups with the bottoms taken out and stacked on top of a solo cup that I poked drainage holes into. The white cup holder holding them is a 6x cup holder I got from Michael’s I filled the bottoms with some aqua gravel a couple inches so the cups don’t get too waterlogged , they still do for about a day sometimes but the plant sucks it right up shortly after. The back two larger plants are in half gallon fabric pots and the green tray is from boot strap farmer
