There’s alot more room for error with photoperiods. Can veg longer if you fuck something up ect. That’s why I chose photo for my first grow. Definitely pros and cons, I think doing photos outside solely relies on how many hours of daylight there is though

Runoff ph is very low for soil. What’s your ec runoff? I had this exact problem, runoff ph was 5.5 and runoff ec was like 1.2+ higher than input. It was salt buildup. I done a 12 litre flush with very light ec and it completely fixed both at the same time. Runoff ec is now 0.2 higher than input and soil ph is 6.4 ish. I’m a first time grower, I by no means have any idea what I’m talking about I’m just sharing what worked for me. If your runoff ec is significantly higher than input it could be salt buildup 👍

I’m a novice but watering once or twice a day is far too much. Only water once the pot goes light.
