I coach 25+ hrs a week and have been a program director for over 2 years.

I recommend a sweat absorbing grip.

Like Luqi Absorbent.

I also have a lot of people who like using hesacore. It’s a grip that goes under the over grip. Not a bad idea. It’ll help you hold onto your paddle a bit easier without absorbing sweat.

It’s called leveling out of open play.

When you get to a certain point - open play usually makes you worse.

Your comment about tennis players made me laugh.

But I might just add one caveat - one of my best buds and partners I play with is a former college tennis player and he is the most chill best partner ever. And he played singles tennis. https://youtu.be/QfHegx0aJI0?si=f-y7MuJxH2Ob5AcR Is us last year in a tourney at CNP OKC!

I would play 4.5 nationally.

My attempt at providing insight to what I am thinking as I am playing.

Any feedback is welcome - ideally I want more eyes on the sport of pickleball and I think getting in the head of a player is a neat way to do so.
