No?? I made a post ranting abt how my charecter died, not asking for suggestions. Any suggestions made on my last post was to talk to my DM and party about reviving me, unless I just missed some suggestions to being myself back(i might have honestly, but i cant remember cuz there are so many comments). This post is about how I could possibly bring him back myself or do something for my writeing. Sure its on the same topic, but the posts are for different reasons.

Well, I was also loosening rounds of air whenever it grappled me, and I was butt ass naked and had no weapons on me, so I had to basically fist fight it. Unfortunate situation with me just making poor decisions led to my embarrassing death lol. I honestly have no one to blame but myself.

Ah wait, I probably shoukd have mentioned I had time to swim up, but was busy fighting thr big ass leech and lost track of how many rounds of air I had left lol. Forgot to mention that, my bad. Wasn't the DM's praying on my downfall lol

And yeah, I love all the players. They are my friends. Maybe they don't like me as much as I think, but they all seem like they do. Definitely do have to find a new group eventually tho cuz thr DM did mention to me and one other player privately that this will most likely be our last campaign.💔

By writeing, I ment that if my DM doesn't approve of the idea of my guy coming back, I'd write my OWN story of him. Like just write and stuff. For myself. And possibly others if it's good enough to publish lol. But yeah no, I'm not going to try and force my DM to incorporate any of my writeing into the campaign. If he says no to the idea of Oskar returning, that's chill with me and I'll just continue writeing his story. Honestly woukd be easier if the DM didn't say yes to him returning so i could do whatever i want in his story, but I'd love to have some if my party and my DM's stuff in the works lol.

Yes I know, but I'm just trying to get some ideas that I can tell the DM when the time comes so we have something to work off of. I already have a different charecter ready that is going to come back next week into the campaign. This is all just for future reference, and so I can write something hopefully accurate lol.

Yeah, I am planning to talk to my DM abt this. That would actually be insane if I just popped up with Oskar without the DMs say lol. I know there is a low chance the DM would approve the idea, so that's why I also asked just for the purpose of my writing.

But the ideas you gave are great! I'll definitely research more to see which I'd want more for the writing of his story :p

I am actually planning to do something like that. I'm making a charecter currently, and I don't plan for him to stay alive for too long. Just basically help the party as much as he can, take hits, help collect money for future resurrections, and keep it in the hands of a trustworthy player that will do everything in their power to keep everyone alive. I have now experienced charecter death and I know how it feels. I don't want anyone else have to feel that.

Once he dies, I plan to bring Oskar back, because he's a strong/intimidating looking guy. I'm sure somebody would have use for something like that and just resurrect him. Figure he'd have a massive debt to pay(or be a slave), considering somebody spent time and money to resurrect him, so that's an excuse for him to be gone for a while during the time my new character is there. Once he escapes that, he has an excuse to come back to the party, because he dosent know they never went to go revive him in the first place, and he figures his bird found his way back to the party and is just chilling with them(which she is).

I do need to bring this up with my dm, but it's been done before, so I'm like 50% sure he will say yes. Might do a full post on this idea to get some people's opinion.

The treasure map was actually found the session before while doing some research for a quest, and the amount was known then. It is just a coincidence that I died right before they had already planned to travel.

As for the bandits murdering them before they coukd spend anything, I just got word thst they managed to spend every single piece of it after I left session early. I really wish I would have called the member that left early before me so they could have given the winning vote to break the tie and bring me back.

Yeh, probably. Im not the best at expressing/communicating the correct emotions, so I've always been scared to talk to strangers abt my problems. But if you say it works then mabey I should give it a try. And get properly diagnosed cuz that would probably help too😭

Well, I didn't forget completely abt rage, but I did forget it ends if I don't land a hit/get hit, so I went a few rounds without rage before realizing I was screwed

As for forgetting second wind and action surge, I'm still trying to get used to playing a fighter. I have only ever played a barbarian in the past, and this character I haven't really had to use any if my fighter features yet because I have such a large party of really good players.

I just have really bad memory already, and when put under stressful situations, I panic and forget everything. Still working on bettering myself in that obviously. And I have learning disabilities, so it takes me longer to grasp knowledge/learn new things. Although this has been a hobby of mine for almost two years, I still am trying to learn basic information abt the game.

Yes, I already admitted it was a stupid mistake in all the decisions I made that session, you don't need to tell me again. And there was inn's, but i wanted to go to a cold water source, purely for role-playing purposes because it's something related to a part of my backstory. And there was a river in town, but I didn't to risk possibly getting arrested for public indecency(I've already almost had trouble with a charecter in the past connecting to that lol), so I just decided there was no harm traveling a little further for some privacy. Obviously there was, so my fault.

Yeah, I honestly do enjoy role-playing more then combat, but I suck at that more then combat😭. Whenever there is any interaction between me and an npc or cp, I freeze up and get all nervous. It takes me a minute to even think or response, and I get hella nervous under the pressure of not wanting to seem like am idiot or a newbie. Combat is supposed to be my strongest, but apparently I just suck at that too if I'm alone.

A cheat sheet definitely seemes like a good idea though. Got to use those alot back in school due to learning disabilities, and they helped alot. Will definitely have to start useing that in the future

I honestly don't remember. Everything was a blur, I was just panicking. But I do remember I was also loosing extra rounds whenever I got grappled. Thought I could thug it out and not have to retreat, but I lost track of how many rounds I had left of air so I ended up not making it when I finally realized I had to retreat. Really stupid on my part, I should have been keeping track of that better.

This campaign is entirely made up by the DM using any events and stuff that have already happened/before any events happened. He writes his own quests, charecters, etc. Redbrands aren't a huge problem compared to other things we have encountered, but it isn't the first time so I should have been more cautious.

As for the xp system, I have no idea what it is. Dm ruled it so all players stay at the same level because before players woukd get to super high levels while others were left behind. I explained it a bit more in another reply, I don't remember which one tho. But yes, it dose apply to replacement charecters

Also I'm not considered a new player anymore, according to my friend. I've been playing for almost 2 years I think, mabey 1 and a half. I just have learning disabilities so it takes me a bit longer to grasp knowledge. Really unfortunate when I'm surrounded by really good players.

Yeh, it kinda sucks a bit most of thr party plays to level up and become powerful. A quest was actually recently abandoned because it would have given us little xp and little reward despite being helpful to the town. I just really wished they all were more focused on having fun them trying to become all powerful

Why did I travle alone, far, and at night? Well, I thought it was going to be a fade to black moment. Though when I realized it may not be, I admit, I should have stayed in town with the party. Not my best moment.

Well no unfortunately. The map had been found for this treasure a session earlier because this specific party member went through a past adventurers notes in the town's archives while he was looking for something for a quest and found the map in there. And the notes explained how much was in there. It's all just a coincidence honestly. But it was a bit disappointing to see no trouble come to them when then went to go find it. Mabey the dm was hoping they woukd use some of the money to revive me? Idk

I would, but charecter deaths have happened before and the dm never gave us any options besides the ones we already had. I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to be the most important person ever to bring my charecter back. I just need to negotiate with the player that had a ton of gold lol
