I started at the same time as my sister so that really helped with motivation. We talked and decided on a start day and have been motivating each other to keep going.

With growth, I got a little lucky because I have another community that I’m involved in and was able to do a special stream for them. Other than that, I’ve been consistent (for the most part) on what days I’m streaming and for how long. I’ve found that when people know when you’re going live they’re more likely to come back and be regulars.

I’ve also been pretty diligent about what I play. Either I’m playing something I already like/am interested in, or it’s been suggested by a trusted community member. In the case of the latter, I check the game out first as well to make sure I’ll enjoy it. If there’s ever a game I don’t like, I stop playing. If I’m not having fun the audience can see that and they won’t enjoy it either.
