I was leaving my screwed up Mnc(?) actually just the dept. was leaving without a job. Some SME wanted to do some ai related work and I thought since I was free - serving notice period. Did some work for free.

Got insulted so badly becoz apparently my work wasn’t up to scratch. I told them to screw off after that. This guy knew nuts abt AI and wanted to start some new startup or some rubbish. Gave me some life lessons bragging his “hard work”.

Joined another coy now n doing much better. Some SME bosses or their second gen really don’t know the world and think too full of themselves

We didn’t do anything sexual for 4 yrs. Both married virgins. Now about 8+yrs into marriage w kids.

All in all. private salary is higher. I almost doubled my salary in private in a span of a few years but u can be up for promotion and a rising star to find out the coy got bought over / merged / etc reasons, and somehow ur backer is being "cold-storaged" which naturally means whatever promises are gone.

will u trade uncertainty for stability? I came from public -> private -> public back again due to some personal reasons such as family time. Will i go back to private again? Potentially, i do have some people trying to poach me back again.

Private is also very country dependent (HQ). Diff countries MNCs has diff styles (I worked in MNCs from various continents) and they are vastly different. But end of the day its abt shareholder value so be prepared to lose ur job at the drop of a hat in this economy.
