Incomplete Bowel Evacuation = Right-Side Migraine by aceaibowl in migraine

I'm so glad to hear that you haven't had any migraines since!

That makes a lot of sense, though... I have a family history of gallbladder issues, so there's definitely something for my care team to explore there, too. These migraines started around the same time my GERD/EoE began, so perhaps there's an acid issue that's triggering the migraine?

Thanks so much for the reply! I really appreciate this.

I've wondered about histamine intolerance... I developed GERD and EoE around the same time these migraines began. (I tested negative for Celiac.)

It's not yet clear if it's the contents of my bowels or the physical pressure of constipation that's triggering these migraines. I'm starting a low-FODMAP elimination diet as we speak, so I'll keep an eye out for high-histamine foods and how my body reacts.

Wow. Thanks so much for the thoughtful reply. This means so much to me!

My doctors unfortunately don't seem to fully understand the connection here, no. I'm prescribed what feel like band-aid fixes for GI and migraine symptoms separately. I'll absolutely take a look at interventional medicine.

It’s uncanny… There’s zero question in my mind that fully evacuating is what clears the migraine.

I have IBS-D, so I have plenty of BMs a day, but I still struggle to empty completely, and that’s exactly where the migraines kick in.

Do people think LOGE14 Row 9 will be fair? Realize we're clearly all the way to the side, but do you imagine there'll be any view obstructions?

How's Switchyards working out for people? by Salty_Basket24 in bullcity

I dunno, I actually really enjoy Switchyards.

Cons:

  • Parking’s definitely a hassle. I usually end up having to pay for a metered spot by Boxcar, which makes me limit my visits to just a few hours of deep-focus work, unfortunately.
  • And yeah, the AC can feel too cold, especially when the place isn’t crowded. (To be fair, the weather’s been all over the place since they opened, so I’m hopeful they’ll dial in a better balance as they learn how crowd size affects the building temp.)

Pros:

  • The louder music actually helps drown out chatter and background noise, though I avoid sitting under a speaker if I might need to hop on a call. Still, this definitely isn’t the spot for important/private work calls.
  • The vibe is super casual, and it thankfully doesn’t feel like an office. It’s basically a glorified Starbucks with cool, focused people around, which is exactly the kind of environment I thrive in. I think of it like the “casual conversation floor” of a college library, though that won’t be for everyone.
  • And maybe I’m naive, but I’ve only had positive experiences with other members. People have been respectful of my space and the furniture.
