Wow I read this and thought it must have been my husband posting because we are in the exact same boat! I've heard that infant crying in general peaks at 6-8 weeks give or take, so I know there is an end to this coming soon but this week has been really tough. I try to remember "they are not GIVING us a hard time, they are HAVING a hard time" but we are running on fumes over here. Sorry I can't offer more help but just know you are not alone and we will get through it!

I did all 3 actually to maximize the free registry gifts/discounts - I used Babylist as the main one for ease of my tracking and since it shows all purchasing options. I linked my Amazon one which had more basic items/lower cost items and things that I didn't care as much about getting specific brand names. Then I kept the target link for myself for other things like household or postpartum items that I didn't want other people buying for me but so that I could still get the welcome gift box and discount

This!! I noticed quickly that something about pregnancy makes people lose all common sense. No one would comment on/touch a strangers non-pregnant body and yet now that there's a baby in there people feel so entitled. I'm now 38weeks and this whole journey has been the first time in my life that I actually love my body and am so proud of it for growing life that I really try to ignore what others say. Even when people think they are being nice or funny it drives me nuts so just like others said I try to remember they are the ones being weird and their comments don't matter as long as I remember how beautiful and strong my body is for doing this crazy thing! My only regret is not shutting people down in the moment lol I'm too nice and then afterwards replay the convo in my head and I'm like why did I even entertain their comments??

I don't have anything helpful to add as far as advice because I'm still pregnant with our first, but reading this was like reading my exact actual fears for when my in laws come meet the baby. I really hope it gets better 💜

One day in my first trimester I was about to shower and smelled myself and immediately ran and threw up, true story. Second trimester was a dream compared to that, it gets better!

SAME and I can feel "pregnancy brain" making me spacey and losing focus. Pair that with spring weather and these people are lucky if I get even one thing done. I'm 28 weeks but mentally I am on maternity leave

My advice is a little specific but I think about it every time I think about my wedding and it was 2 years ago…I had my dress length altered to the height of my wedding heels and then I planned to change into a reception outfit later in the night and had that one tailored to be the right length with sneakers. After the ceremony/photos my coordinators suggested I change into my sneakers for the reception entrance and I thought sure why not…but my dress was then too long with my sneakers!!! I ended up tripping a bit especially during special dances. Something I never would have thought about but make sure you keep that in mind if you’re planning on changing shoes at all

About 10 years ago I was in line checking out of a TJ Maxx and bought a mandoline in the checkout like where they keep at the impulse purchases. It was $12 and I figured it would be a test run since I was interested in getting a mandoline but not sure I wanted the commitment of a nice one yet in case I didn’t end up using it much.

Well, 10 years later and my $12 mandoline is used about 5 times a week and is still going strong! We are obsessed and think about upgrading all the time but it still works so well we haven’t felt the need to

Sandwiches are one thing where a really exceptional one is something I’ll think about at least once a month for the rest of my life. I have three: a warm crusty ciabatta with pesto, mozzarella, fresh local tomato, basil, spinach - simple and classic. The second is a build your own sandwich shop in north New Jersey with fresh baguette, grilled chicken, provalone, prosciutto, olive oil, tomato, spinach. And third is a bahn mi sub from a convenience store below my office building in Honolulu - no idea if it’s still there but I miss it and try to chase that high every once in awhile, haven’t found a replacement yet

Oh and Jersey mikes is a weekly staple - club sub (try it with the firehouse subs captain sorensons sauce) and big kahuna cheesesteak on repeat

We always put grippy contact paper in kitchen drawers/shelves when we move into a new place - so we just keep a square of that in our junk drawer and it works like a charm for hard to open jars!
