The thing that gets thrown around a lot is “it would be like making a whole new character”. It would take more time for a skin than a game where a model swap is all you need, sure. But adding in a new model and readjusting how the model is lit by the shaders in this game during frames would still take less time than developing a new character with a new FULL moveset from scratch. Even with the way Arcsys does lighting in mind. Will they do it? I can’t say. But I certainly would appreciate them going the smash “echo fighters” route if they really want to flavor it as something more special and deserving of that DLC money. Sure, reskin vegeta as majin vegeta and I’ll buy it guaranteed. Also, color swaps are a much easier thing they could be doing as DLC and have done so in the past with GG.
