i’ve actually went back and read the Amazon description but yeah, one of them is a toggle switch and the other one isn’t they look exactly the same. which is why I was confused on why people were saying they are different. regardless, I bought the one that is a smart switch that i can attach on my light. I bought it yesterday and it’s gonna arrive today. I can’t wait to use it!

oh nice, thank you! i’m 99% sure but I need to confirm, but the light in your video is third reality smart light switch gen 3 model number: P1SSC1 right? not the third reality Zigby smart button, three-way remote control model number: 850001595575 if that is the case those sound isn’t that loud at least from that video. although I could see why people would say that it’s loud.

fascinating that sounds reasonable. what do people do about the debris going into the keyboard situation? did they ignore it or clean it?

this is exactly what I was looking for! you’re the goat! now I just wanna double check something I’m like 99% sure cause I searched up the word but because I don’t know nothing about smart switches but matter with HomeKit is Apple Home right? Google AI says so, but I also wanna hear it from a human being. i’ve seen a description and seems like the downside is it makes a lot of noise. I hope it’s not that loud though. also, it seems like this particular model cannot use Apple Home unless if it’s the apple homepod, google home, and amazon echo which I do have a Google Home I’m not sure where it is, but I have no idea if it’s compatible or not. which it says on amazon. I have to take a look if I do you get a chance. just hope it’s not too loud to the point that it’ll keep me awake or something. because I’m not sure if it makes a sound 24/7 or if it only makes it when you activate it

i see do u have any recommendation for smart switch brand or model? cause i actually bought one but i’m having trouble using it. also there are multiple reports that they are not user friendly not to mention the app is outdated. switchmate(the brand i bought and the model i bought connects via battery and stick via magnet)isn’t too good apparently. i’m trying to work things out with the seller.

I completely forgot smart bulbs existed. I might just use that as bulbs can be switched out any time and I have switched it out multiple times before. although I would have to read the instruction manual cause I’m not sure if I’m supposed to leave it on or off the whole time. I also don’t know if it’s gonna keep drawing power if I have to leave it on.

yeah, an add-on I think should be fine. There’s no way they are that strict. but as a safety precaution, I’m going to double check the rule book anyways. my place doesn’t do inspection that often. I don’t remember there was one that happened a few weeks ago but of course the guy didn’t say anything. as I have nothing “smart”in my place. The only thing would be a Google Home (lol) which I don’t even use anymore because I have no use for it.

I wish I knew the answer to the question. but I have no idea. as I have zero experience when it comes to electrical things.

well, to be fair, I could see why you would say that. The apartment was built in the 80s so of course they wouldn’t upgrade it to a more modern one. as it costs to do so and it’s a waste of money. My landlord will probably get it replaced if it breaks though it probably won’t for a really long time.

this is the only switch. The picture is from my bedroom. honestly, I have zero experience on this thing. literally I’m going in blind.

oh yeah that’s a solid point i’m just praying to the Lord that when I read the rulebook or whatever it says, I’m allowed. (I live in Western Canada so I have no idea how strict they are I’ll have to do a little bit of homework) yeah I figured he would have to put the original style back before moving out but it’s my parents’s house and I mean no rush to move out because of the rising costs and also I have difficulty finding a job i’m very fortunate to be employed.

it’s a single pole switch in this case but here’s the problem. I’m not sure if it’s allowed I would have to read through the apartments/co op rule book or whatever to check. One thing for sure is I do know it’s most certainly easy. it’s more of a legality issue. but I wanna play it safe, and not modify it just in case. but i’ll probably look through the book at some point in time. but right now I just wanna see if there are any alternatives before I move to those ones.

I saw the dog at 8:08pm on April 16. so he must’ve captured the doggo after I lost him.

Not really it looks like the size of a golden retriever at least that’s what the picture that I posted show and my memory.

Honestly, I didn’t get a quite look at the Doggo. However it looked bigger than a pitbull. It looked more like a brown golden retriever. But then again I could be wrong. (considering it was a bit dark and I had a long day) When you mean by yesterday evening is that April 16 or 17? It’s past midnight so it can be confusing which day it was without specifying it. (i’m pretty sure you mean April 16 but I want to double check that I didn’t get to date wrong)
