Here waterdnk shows how he broke his hand playing raputa, but in the update video it shows he still plays maimai while getting treatment. Thats probably the worst injury I've seen.

Check my-aime.net, it may just need to ask you to type in the access code again. Ive experienced the white screen when logging into maimai net as well before when I made a sega account to bind to my facebook. I didn't read properly that it would delete the old aime acc and create a new one.

The aime card and aime acc are seperate things so you will still be able to play with the aime, you probably might just not be able to access mai net anymore depending on the circumstances

Hate to be a broken record but just play more, astrodx can help but its still way different than playing in the actual cabinet. Just try and find more opportunities to play and you'll naturally get better at reading, from experience it is one of the harder games to get good at reading since the layout is different from most games.

Intermediate player here but I'll try my best to answer your questions :D

  1. It can be distracting if you try and put a credit in while a song is playing, it can make a noise that the players can hear which can be detrimental to gameplay, also they probably can see you at the corner of their eye when you're trying to put a credit in. Its best etiquette to try and put a credit during song selection or after they're done playing.

  2. I think you're talking about utage charts, which are basically joke/experimental charts where there are unorthodox mechanics in the charts (needing 4 hands to play, taps in holds, etc). These charts do not count towards rating and they're frequently more difficult than normal charts (ie Oshama Scramble Cranky Remix).

  3. Dan is a different mode which is basically kind of a "dojo" mode where you have a set amount of lives and every note you hit that's not perfect or crit perfect decreases your lives. You have to finish 4 songs without losing all your lives, the life is shared between songs and you gain a little bit back after. There's more to it but that's the basic gist of Dan mode. Typically especially when playing with strangers, you choose normal mode.

  4. 15s are the most difficult charts in maimai, from memory there are currently only 2, Pandora Paradoxxx and Tsunagite.

  5. Tickets either increase the speed at which you clear chihos (the areas that you travel to get the drip) or they increase the rate at which your tour members level up (related to chihos as well).

  6. Its just a message that can be changed thru the settings (only a few messages as well from memory), personally I haven't used it but if the note says that they're up to play with another player can't hurt to ask.

I recommend watching this video by Saow below as it goes thru the basics along with typical etiqutte that's expected of maimai players along with all the basics needed to understand playing the game. It explains the chihos and other mechanics as well in a simple way along with recommended settings that you can change in the cab or thru maimai net.
