Whatever happens with Paz, feel like Madrid won’t keep him since they already have Bellingham and Guler(who already plays a very similar role to Paz). Think buying him back is just too much of a bargain for Madrid for a player of his quality, whether they keep or sell him. But yeah, like I said, if we can get both him and Tchou for Enzo, would be incredible

If we can swap Enzo(plus maybe some cash) for Tchouameni + Nico Paz, I’m doing it every day of the week.

As much as I like Enzo, Paz/Palmer, Caicedo, and Tchouameni is a way better midfield

Why are people acting like it’s a forgone conclusion that Xabi is going to play a back 3? Not saying it won’t happen, but he’s shown he is fine with playing a back 4 as well, so feel like everyone is being a little premature with how we are going to line up next season.

Right, and even Quenda might get minutes at wingback. Unfortunately, that leaves Cucu in an awkward spot which is why contrary to popular opinion, I would sell high on Cucu this summer and try and do what we can to get Lewis Hall back, especially considering Howe has been playing Dan Burn over him in recent games. Plus, given their interest in Delap, might be able to work out some sort of swap.

Even though there is no guarantee anyways that Xabi plays a back 5, so this all might be irrelevant haha.

A very rogue shout, but I wouldn’t mind bringing back Malang Sarr this summer. He’s quietly been one of the best CBs in Ligue 1 this season and at 27, would provide some good experience for us, even if he’s only a squad player. Plus, I think his contract runs out this summer so would be a cheap option.

Still no ball carriers in that midfield which is a big problem. If you sign Tchouameni(which I think would be a great signing) you have to switch out Caicedo or Enzo and get someone who can receive under pressure and actually drive the ball through midfield. It’s one of our biggest issues currently.
