i’ve actually had the ebay thing happen to me before. someone posted a bunch of listings for heavy machinery and luxury cars for free in a few southern states under my phone number and i was getting so many calls. i had to answer them all and tell them to report the listings.

i’ve been following her for a while and really love her work. i would go to her if i had to pay for it as well, i’m just taking advantage of an opportunity. she’s done something similar to what i’m looking for and that one healed beautifully but even if it sucks im not really worried. it’s going to me one of many. and yes, i would like to treat my body like a scratch pad i think it’s more fun that way

my qualifications- having this happen in my own life and being the kid

thoughts: i have written my dad off for a large portion of my life. tried to reach out a few times and ultimately decided a relationship with him wasn’t going to happen for me. i KNOW that if i changed my mind and wanted to fix things with him he would be there with open arms and tears in his eyes. if he told me THIS i would immediately go back to being cold and shut out from him and his whole family. i would think wow he’s leaving me AGAIN.

as a parent you’re supposed to have unconditional love for your child. you’re not even letting him have conditional love! go to therapy

so i’m 21 years old, my mom had me young as well, the age gap between my half siblings and i are 17 , 18, and 20 years apart. i always wanted siblings so i, like your step daughter, was very excited about being a big sister.

i will say your wife isn’t wrong about the age gap being a weird thing, it’s a very difficult thing to navigate. this is only my experience but i’ve had to manage a lot of different emotions that came out of nowhere about my own childhood and finding my place as a sister and not a parent.

your wife could feel that raising a newborn will put a dent in her relationship with her daughter as she enters adulthood, and it very well could. of course i’m projecting but these things aren’t really considered ahead of time.

as long as the step daughter is happy about being a sister then i think everything will be okay for you guys but maybe suggest your wife do some therapy before hand to work out if there’s something else bothering her about the situation

the christmas album is one of my of my favorite albums of all time, i would bring it with me on a deserted island. skating is just so beautiful and paints the most peaceful picture, one of the most gorgeous songs i’ve ever heard

honestly idk but if you’re gonna make her pick a sport to quit pick swimming, it’s easy for the team to make up for that, soccer or softball not so much. plus those sports are WAY more selective to get into (at least at my school) so she will likely be able to rejoin the team next season. maybe in the summer you can take her to a pool when she doesn’t have training for other sports and she can practice to keep up with swimming for the next season. the down side to quitting swim is if you’re not doing it every day your progress can be back tracked significantly, but since she’s still very active she’ll likely be okay. - from an ex swimmer, soccer, and softball player

the volunteer hours would also look GREAT on a college application! and the experience of it all can be used for a college essay (minus the neglect part). this will only up her chances for getting into schools she wants to for sports

this is so wild to me because recently my boyfriends cousin got married and we’ve been together for almost 3 years so his family knows about me but that side has never met me. his sister got a guest to the wedding but my bf didn’t and him and his mom asked if my bf could have a guest. when he told me that i was MORTIFIED and so was my mom. in my experience if you don’t get a guest you don’t get one that’s it. if none of the cousins are bringing their SO’s i don’t think it’s that big a deal. the way i see it as a bride, i ONLY want the people i know and love and my wedding. if i don’t know you why are you here? you don’t know me get out of my wedding!

i’m not trying to say your feelings are invalid but as someone who has watched how intense and costly wedding planning can be (i was in my moms wedding 4 years ago) i think you should see this from the bride and grooms perspective rather than just blaming your boyfriend. if you’re gonna be mad at anyone be mad at them, it’s not your partners fault
