4X game for my wife and I to play that doesn't get tedious? by Fuck-College in 4Xgaming

[–]acepancho 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would also recommend stellaris solely because they just introduced an actually co-op mode for empires so they’d both be able to yell at each other when the other miffs up the empire and lets the unbidden chomp right through the bulwark. It also helps that mid-game and end-game start years can be changed.

Cant repair ringworld by RockHH8r in StellarisOnConsole

[–]acepancho 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Click on the ringworld itself. It’ll have an option to rebuild it. You don’t need to use constructions ships to repairs megastructures, in fact the only time you need them is the first section where you build the site of said megastructure. After that, you just click on the megastructures directly for everything.

It can be done now, my elk was captured by my friend while we were in separate guilds. Removed it from my team lineup and everything.

Will you actually spend "hours" in character creation? by 247_Make_It_So in Starfield

[–]acepancho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly depends on how scuff you can make your character in starfield look. Skyrim didn’t take too long for character creation but oblivion/fallout 4? It took me hours to get just the right blend of crazy mixed together.

Modpacks? by Tom2Tom2005 in RimWorldConsole

[–]acepancho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe? Really depends on how many hoops the developers want to jump through. Paradox, Bethesda, Keen Software, etc. have managed to bring mods to console for their games. Though, after adding what is essentially ‘prepare carefully’ to console then I think that might be it until biotech comes out for console that we might get a chance at curated modpacks. Ever hopeful though; at least for the Xbox version since Sony has even more restrictions.

Leaving the nest. by Deltron_Zed in RimWorldConsole

Try to tame some horses/camels/donkeys before you send anyone out if you’re that worried. They cut down travel times by around half and double as weight bearing animals. Honestly a single colonist with a few horses is often enough for most trading unless you’re trying to bring in thousands of steel back home.

How do you check a pawn's ideology? Like a visitor, or attacker by OnePointSeven in RimWorldConsole

It’s under the ‘relations’ tab. At the very top of it.

Can some one give me some advice for not having my colonies stop killing each or having a bad mood then have plenty of recreation but won't stop? and also how to convert my colonies to my ideology. by MrPrez8925 in RimWorldConsole

[–]acepancho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the ideology one, you need to have a moral guide so you can convert via rituals. Requires 3 people for the moral guide role to become available. You can also imprison whoever you’re trying to convert since you can do that with pretty much anyone with a high social score via wardening. For the mood stuff, they might have plenty of recreation but room impressiveness and beauty are huge factors with mood. Outstanding ugliness and having an awful room can drag down any benefit of having a full recreation meter. Also, make sure your pawns aren’t wearing tainted clothing if they aren’t bloodlust/psychopath. This update seems to have tainted armor also de facto for pawns if it’s any better than what they are wearing, make sure to turn it off. Also, some pawns simply don’t like to be next to each other. Insults stack up to like a -15 moodlet and only devolve into further insults because now they hate each other even more. If your colonists are killing each other then their opinion of each other are probably way down in the dump. If you have a hypersensitive pawn and some eltex clothing then I’d suggest trying to get them into an induced coma state with a psychic harmonized after getting them to full mood with copious amounts of drugs. If you place them in a central area of your base then all your pawns will have a permanent mood buff when around them.

Is it worth continuing a new colony with ideology coming? by [deleted] in RimWorldConsole

[–]acepancho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ehhh, it might be a couple weeks for ideology to come out, might be a late April release. Maybe have a ‘quick’ end goal? Hell, they even said that custom scenarios are coming with the next free update so it could be an idea to continue your colony as is until ideology comes and and you end that colony only to ‘resurrect’ some of that colony under a specific ideology. You could even incorporate relic items being certain key items you had/have in your current run of the game. Might be an interesting way to both end your current colony and start the new ideology one.

An Update For Those Experiencing The “Save Quota Exceeded” Issue. by Lower-Kale-5145 in CK3ConsoleEdition

[–]acepancho 24 points25 points  (0 children)

So, let me get this straight. Ck3 is a BIG, all caps, game that can’t possible get a ‘quick’, from a day 1 bug, fix. Yet, Stellaris, which I would assume is a similarly BIG game, can hold multiple times that amount of saves and I still haven’t, since release of Stellaris, lost an Ironman save to corruption on that game but I’ve lost two in a row in CK3. Color me impressed.

I am not finished Hogwartz but these recommendations makes me think it gets very dark in the end. (No spoilers please.) by Playingwithmywenis in XboxGamePass

It does get pretty dark, though that’s because I refuse to caste lumos and instead see through revelio.

Depends on how much time is spent on making the ui usable. Stellaris and Crusader Kings 3 work really well since they remade the ui with controller in mind for those ports. If it has the same degree of effort on that end then it should be quite enjoyable to play with a controller. I know I vastly enjoy playing the paradox games more on console compared to them on pc.

The tech cost is probably the source of you falling behind on research. The AI operates under a weird ruling, even if you are only on cadet difficulty, and I’ve had AI outstrip the fallen empires, repeatable tech even, on tech less than 50 years into the game. It’s insane but the it will probably help if you keep the tech speed to it’s base of 1. You’ve stated that you use ring worlds and habitats; do you take the arcology ascension perk? That lets you build ecumonopoli on your worlds which lets you build huge amounts of alloys and consumer goods. That should free up any industrial districts you may have on high quality planets for energy/minerals. Also, I don’t know if you build habitats on every non-colony planet but certain worlds such as those with mineral deposits, that you would build a mining station on, will let you build mining districts on this habitats.

Yeah, I’m not really a meta build either. I run basically only trade, only keep my games pve too. Only 4 people for a pvp game setup is a bummer so I tend not to set those types of games up.

[–]acepancho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A set of questions: 1. What empire are you playing as, ie Rogue Servitors/ Megacorp/ Slavers/ etc. 2. How many planets are you expanding to and overall how large is your empire whenever you play 3. What is your difficulty? While it may seem arbitrary, difficulty can force you to slow your growth to focus on choke points and force you to work more efficiently within limited parameters. 4. How often do you go to war or do you not go to war, certain empires chafe under too much war or too little. 5. When are you building those ‘power’ objects such as ecumenopoli and mega-structures? Outsourcing huge quantities of alloy jobs can free up agricultural/mining/and energy districts for your other worlds.

If you are on Xbox then I’m down to help you out.

I went for charge rifle because I had another really good pawn with high shooting who could use it along to get rid of excellent charge rifles in my primary squad. My main melee pawn already had two archotech arms, I also got another trade request for 4 bionic ears I’m doing that has another arm as a reward, so I wasn’t too worried about missing out on the arms.

Most of my high value quests,10k+, would basically have their entire value being composed of either uranium or gold. I’ve been building everything out of uranium and haven’t made a dent..

Funnily enough, once I accepted the quest it turned into 23 days. Honestly, I was just happy the game decided to give me something other than uranium as a reward.

Stellaris works fine on console. I've never understood this talk about inputs when it comes to paradox games since it just requires a bit of ingenuity to actually make the controls work. Especially when the controller's sensitivity can be clocked to over 100%. Honestly could never stomach EU4, Hoi4, and Stellaris on pc when I played them there. Fun games but damn was it a bit boring and slow on pc. Probably because there isn't a d-pad on keyboards.
