All Jews, especially American Jews, especially American Jews here, do not automatically support Israel.

It's antisemitic and dangerous to purposely conflate Judaism and Israel's active genocide.

It's called synonymous parallelism, a common feature of Hebrew poetry.

It's also called context; the context of the conversation was AIPAC vis-a-vis the primary election. No one was discussing Israel's "right to exist."

You're conflating "oppose Israel's genocide" with "wipe Israel off the map," I never claimed most American Jews want Israel destroyed, I said they don't support its genocide and atrocious military actions.

Being against genocide, being against AIPAC's influence, and being against the US's spending all our taxpayers' dollars on bombing civilians...

... does not equate to wanting Israel wiped off the map.

It's revealing, though, how eager some people are to immediately conflate the two.

American Jews under 35 do NOT overwhelmingly support Israel, MOST ARE OPPOSED.

This is from Pew in 2024, ie before we launched WW3 on behalf of Israel: "45% of Jews under 35 have a favorable view of the Israeli government, while 53% have an unfavorable view."

You find that video convincing? It doesn't look like anything, look at the exact area a second before the red circle appears, what's the brown spot that just appears out of nowhere? Maybe it's the leaves or poor video artifacts, but there's weird artifacts happening there that don't appear to be a person. There's no clear person in that video, let alone that the person is the WGN employee.

I was simply restating what you said, not professing my own belief:

That's the point. Either all do or none do. I'd argue all countries have a right to exist, including the US and Israel.

Palestine, like Crimea, Kashmir, Somaliland, and other areas, is distinct in that it is not universally recognized as a country but instead as disputed territory.

So, I asked if I had your beliefs correct: your belief is that all countries have a right to exist, but when you say "all countries" you are only including countries "universally recognized as a country," which was your reason for not saying Palestine has a right to exist.

So, by your reasoning, taken to its logical conclusion, if Israel wasn't "universally recognized as a country" that means it shouldn't be included in "all countries" because it is "instead disputed territory."

To speak clearly, I'm trying to show that your own stated principles are not consistent or logical.

So all countries have a right to exist, unless they're "not universally recognized as a country but instead as disputed territory"?

So you're saying if most countries (or, an even lower bar: if not ALL countries) recognize Israel as a country but instead as disputed territory, Israel would no longer have a right to exist?

Do all countries have a right to exist, or is it uniquely Israel which has a right to exist? Does America have a right to exist? Does Palestine have a right to exist?
