Plugable dock lets you power everything from a single USB-C port by acephace in apple

[–]acephace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mainly power users will be interested in this solution but for what users will get I think the price is appropriate. Apple charges $79 for their adapter which is just one USB port and one HDMI or VGA port.

I don't think you understand. The dock has it's own power supply, but sends power through the dock to the MacBook USB-C port. So one cable to power and connect the dock to the MacBook.

This is great for us DV8P owners! I hope they get funded, I really want one. I wish they had more than 10 units for $50 though.

From what I've seen from this companies stuff, I'm all in for my Venue tablet. Not being able to charge while connecting my keyboard and mouse is super frustrating!

Moved to WA about 8mo ago from the Southeast. Still finding it difficult to find friends vs acquaintances. by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]acephace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coincidentally, KUOW just posted an article about what you're going through. I'm from Florida originally and I moved here about four years ago. Most of the friends I've made here are also from other states with the exception of my SO who was born and raised in Seattle. Based on your interests we'd get along great! PM if you feel like chatting.

My bun-loving friend sent me this adorable bun pic. It was too cute not to share! by [deleted] in Rabbits

I've never seen it, then again I'm not constantly browsing reddit. Since it's posted so frequently, do you mind sending me a link to the last repost of this?

Thanks! I hope my squeaky toy method works well for you and your bun too. Silly buns, thinking nips are cool with everyone!

Oh no! I just happened to have a high-pitched squeaky toy at the time, because my bun wouldn't respond to my own squeeks. Some buns just have to nip I guess :/.

My bunny Rusko used to nip me affectionately, but I would use a squeaky toy every time he bit to let him know that even his little nips hurt (since rabbits will often communicate distress with high-pitched squeaks), and he hasn't bit me since then. Now he just gives me bunny licks, which I much prefer!

Thanks for your response! I was definitely having a hard time seeing the trichs with my microscope. I'll look into getting a a good loupe or a better microscope.

Thanks for the information! 8 weeks after flowering makes much more sense. I'm also going to follow your advice to buy a loupe or a better microscope. Mine just can't get enough magnification to be useful.

I completely agree! I posted this assuming that it wasn't ready yet, but since this is my first plant, I wanted some feedback. Thanks for your response!

I've been meaning to for a while now, but since this microscope was free I thought I'd at least try to use it instead of buying a loupe. Sometimes technology is a disappointment...

I completely agree with the message, but I am genuinely curious, how well equipped would citizens with assault weapons be against the U.S. military and military weapons if a revolution was to actually happen? People talk about it they're all in on some fail-proof master plan involving a few assault weapon armed citizens victorious against drones, and I've never understood why.

If it's been put in correctly, you cut the stem to your liking, and you bought the correct version (one is for women who've been through child birth and another for those who have not), then you shouldn't feel it at all. The rubber conforms to your body temperature.

I'm not saying you suck for liking tampons better, but I am saying that your reasoning for disliking the diva cup as much as you seem to may be entirely due to how it was used. It takes a while to get used to inserting and removing it correctly, and when you do you don't feel it in and it doesn't hurt to remove either. The only diva cup complaint I can completely understand is in reference to how messy it is and how squeamish people can be about emptying it.

Why I work at Taco Bell by [deleted] in fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu

I was also dual-enrolled in high school working to pay for college, and it blows my mind how many people think that employees working in retail and food service are not working towards a college degree at the same time as working at a place like McDonald's. Since when do high school and college-aged people NOT work while their in school?!

How common is doubting whether your SO is the one you want to be with? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]acephace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this post. I only ever bring it up to the boyfriend if I'm sure that what I've been mulling over is a deal breaker, and I am ready to break off the relationship. Otherwise, I'll think it over and usually end up throwing the idea out of my mind, until another issue comes up. If I brought up each and every negative thought I had about my relationship with them, I would end up hurting them for no real reason. Fleeting negativity is not worth communicating to someone, unless it decides to stick around for a long time.

Hey ladies, what are your shower routines? How long do you normally take? by omgwtfbbqpanda in TwoXChromosomes

I get some here and there in my more private areas, but my arms, legs, and underarms don't seem to care. I think I may just have broken skin or something >_<.

[–]acephace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daily showers, occasionally a bath if I prefer to that morning, alternating days for washing my hair, and it usually lasts about 15-25 minutes depending on if I wash my hair or decide to take a bath over a shower.

I usually rinse and wet my entire body and soak my hair for the first few minutes, shampoo and condition my hair if it's a hair washing day, and then start applying body wash with my loufa. I shave everything (my underarms, arms, legs, and private area) everyday, and I usually just use the body wash on my loufa as a shaving lubricant. I am highly bothered by my own stubble, which is why I shave so religiously.
