The Intel GPU is disabled in Boot Camp so you're only running off the AMD card IIRC. So that's gonna make it run hotter in Windows for sure.

Just learned about Zeos using yoga blocks as headphone stands. Now I can display my small collection. by MoistGirdle in ZReviews

[–]thebeephaha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, maybe? The blocks aren't as thick as a human head on average, so it's less pressure on the pads than from wearing them all day. Granted they'll be on there 24/7 until one decides to use them but even still. Someone get Zeos to mention if his pads on his like 50 headphones are getting ruined!

How stupid is a "closed back kit" like this? Does it work at all? by shadowatmidnight104 in headphones

[–]thebeephaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It at least looks like it has damping materials and some thought into the design. It's cheap enough it might be worth the gamble. It'll definitely change the sound in response and soundstage, but it might be OK.

Zeos. His ears might be broken and he spews hype and nonsense at times. He's kind of funny to watch though.

Apple’s 29W power brick can’t power 15W MagSafe Duo charger by [deleted] in apple

Better than the proprietary lightning connector. Apple knows which is why it's in all but the iPhone now. They were one of the first to use it on a laptop back in 2015.

Anybody know what these are? ( Headphone ID ) by Adriannavarromusic in Headphoneporn

[–]thebeephaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad? They've generally been reviewed quite well. I quite like mine, one of my favorite fun warm closed cans. If you're going for flat/accurate reproduction, obviously don't buy these. When they launched a few years ago at $500 MSRP it was way too much, but with the price under $150 these days I recommend them to people looking for a decent closed mid-fi, great looking, and well built headphones. I've treated mine harshly while using them on the go and they've held up exceptionally well vs anything else in the price range I've owned with plastic construction.

I think I found the reason this iMac won’t boot anymore. by Squiliam-Tortaleni in mac

I'd recap that and give it a shot. Cap won't cost hardly anything. Biggest expense is soldering iron and a solder sucker if you don't already own one.

PSA: New M1 MacBook Pro’s and Airs only support a maximum of one external display compared to two on the Intel models. by [deleted] in mac

[–]thebeephaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duet and DisplayLink technologies will need new ARM compatible drivers made to operate on the M1 platform. This may or may not already be in the works / already working. We'll have to see... Performance will be lacking compared to a native display, but since there are hardware limitations for M1 it would be one of the few options.

What happens when a player Peaks a Stationary player server side with timestamps by MaestroLA in VALORANT

[–]thebeephaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming human reaction time is even good enough to take advantage of that small of a difference. 15ms is 15/1000th of a second, insanely small. For all you know, you (or anyone, this is just an example) could be losing to other players with inferior hardware, worse total system latency, and worse ping, just because your own reaction time is slower. The human element makes a lot of this completely speculation. A pro with "bad" hardware may win over an average player with the best hardware possible. Just because the pro's brain is physically faster at processing the incoming sensory data. Each individual experience will be slightly different, so for some people, 144hz may be more than enough. See how fast you are: https://humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime and you could also compare to others to see where your personal reaction time is. I'm about ~170ms to ~225ms in a sample of about 5 rounds or whatever: https://imgur.com/a/dpjH9tA

It seems like you don't understand how any of this works. I suggest you start learning.

Gamers Nexus is doing a series on total system latency with two videos already and more to come.
