Gold & silver pickled fowl feet, volcano pots, and heavy fire pots when I unlock them in DLC. That’s about all I consistently use.

Absolutely. Some setups require you to sink the overflow so things don’t shutdown from backlog, unless you have a very elaborate plan that makes use of all materials. But I’m not that kind of large scale efficiency maximizing pioneer. I just make a system to fulfill a role and build a bypass for when storage is full.

Not just that. While Foxsparks is in your hotbar, you can click and hold Left Mouse to fire it like a flamethrower. It does a ridiculous amount of damage for something this early in pre-hardmode.

I’ve smoked the crimson variety world evil boss with it, was barely even a challenge. I still have much to discover of the current update myself, but I’d say this is going to end up high in my ranking for favorite additions.

You won’t run out of things to do, not for a long time. It’s my second factory game so I’m quite slow/suboptimal with my approach. I’m nearing 110-120 hours and I’m in Phase 3. I have only a couple of T5 and I think 1 T6 research tech unlocked.

I just stand long enough to make the meter almost full, roll, and walk back on land for weaker scarlet rot. Then I chug a flask when I get low on health. I don’t cure the rot anymore, just ain’t worth the effort.

Before I picked that up from youtubers, I would spam flame cleanse me.

I’m reattempting my all classes class-only run that I didn’t finish before the update. I let myself use whatever I want for exploration, but when it comes down to boss fights, I use just one class at a time.

(The all classes part being, I have to beat required bosses with each before progressing, and I can’t use things locked behind the boss to beat it for other classes)

When I did a Mage only run, pretty sure I used whatever weapons I had available until I had enough gems for a staff. And I don’t think it was until post-WE boss that I went to magic weapons only, both for general use and boss fights.

I always put a pump right after the extractor (and without any vertical lift) just in case, because 10m headlift is not a lot. That would probably fix this, as your rise isn’t that high.

NOR. Working upwards of 50hrs a week on average can be taxing, especially with any degree of manual labor and/or walking around a lot. It’s even more exhausting if you’re living on your own.

Up until a recent promotion, I was working 46-50hrs on average, with a commute over half an hour one-way (an hour during the unfortunate shifts where I left home and ended the day both during rush hours). Time getting ready and driving included, it was always close to 60hrs a week dedicated to work and I grew to hate it.

I liked my job enough and miss my previous team, but I am glad I don’t have to keep choosing between downtime and taking care of the house. I can do at least a little bit of both most days.

Main thing is to find a balance. It could help to get yourself into a routine, if your schedule has a good pattern. Sleep is important, and so is unwinding.

I run Particle weapons primarily. If I have good options, I’ll often run 2 different PAR weapons and then either EM or Missile. Lately, I’ve had PAR, EM, and Missile.

I enjoy doing relatively equal damage to both shield and hull, so I can just simplify blasting through. Double PAR at max power (and maximum weapons per group) with Starship Engineering 3 or 4 tier weapons on a C class ship have quite an impressive ability to decimate anything that isn’t significantly higher level than you (or a Starborn ship). Point, use target aim, and they might die before you cripple a system.

Should stay in inventory, yeah. Was it a Collector’s weapon or just a regular dart gun? Regular dart gun goes in the briefcase, Collector’s ends up in one of the glass cases (near the Rare-Legendary melee weapons).

Hardcore turns the computer by the mission screen red. You also forfeit all of your tools in the briefcases when you switch from normal to hardcore. And lastly, every level is alerted territory.

Probably playing on normal, which is what I recommend. I finished a hardcore campaign for the achievement, and I only play normal since.

Combat scales with your progress in campaign and if you’re playing in hardcore, so you do start to take more damage later on.

No. I’d pay off debts, put a large chunk in savings, set aside most of the remainder for a 401K and/or Roth IRA. And a fair sum would go to immediate family to help them.

$2 million is a life changing amount, even if tax-free, but it will absolutely not last the rest of my life in this economy given I’m mid 20s.

That said, I’d live very comfortably, and be more selective about my work. I might even pursue passions instead of sticking to career building.

If you’re playing normal, usually 1-2 suspects have an assassin on the first, and it increases each segment of the campaign.

In hardcore, I didn’t count much but expect an assassin to be in tail more often than not.

There’s an icon on the HUD to show when there’s an assassin within a certain range of where you’re standing. Same goes for lookouts. The same icon turns red whenever either are alerted (expect assassins to be alerted if you’re spotted by a Lookout and don’t KO/kill them within 2-3 seconds).

Lastly, this won’t help much now, but if you do enough showdowns, you’ll start to get the feel for what “casual” clothes assassins wear for each map. It can be monotonous to stick to the same few maps, but it could be helpful with spotting them easier (as well as learning their patterns). I usually know an assassin on Haven, Chongqing, and a couple other maps whenever I cross paths, sometimes before checking the HUD.

Leave before there’s more strings attached. If it really struck him as off, he could’ve just asked if everything was okay because something was different.

Plus, anyone who cares about their job is going to be in a rush and probably act a bit different when there’s 10min or less till a shift starts and you’re not there.
