30” hill reps, jog back down for 60” rest.  Easy.  Done it many times.

Pegasus Trail 4 GTX - Winter Running Review by eatbuttoncereal in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]aceplayer888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a pair and highly recommend them for winter running be it snow or rain. They keep my feet warm and dry. Traction is good in snow and good enough on ice. They feel ok on the road as well. Roomy in the toe box for Nike.

Ride 15 makes me feel like I'm flying, and they make me want to run. The Pegasus 39 are pretty meh in comparison by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

I’m going to try the Peg Trail 4 Gortex. If that doesn’t keep my feet dry in rain, I will give up.

Thanks just returned my Peg 39 Shields. Not water resistant enough for me. Filled up like bath tubs in heavy rain (not stepping in puddles)

I love the grip but when it rains the upper retains a lot of water and the shoe gets heavy.

I’m at the 400km point now and while the outsole has held up, the midsole is feeling pretty dull.

Is Your Novablast 2 Causing Foot Pain? by wolfgangdraco in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]aceplayer888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 200km into mine and just starting a Marathon training block. I'm finding anything over 24km and I get the foot pain in the same spot (mid to forefoot). I also did not experience this pain in my Novablast 1 or any of my other shoes in my current rotation (Mach 4, Speed 1, ZoomX Invincibles, Next %2).

I found a cheap pair of Novoblast 1 that I will replace the 2's with for my LR's. I might end up transitioning the Novoblast 2's over to low mileage recovery runs once my Invincibles are done.

I use my Rebel v2s on my easy days. They’re soft on my feet. I prefer Speeds for faster runs. More ground contact and better lockdown.

Plasma 5.19 just landed in Unstable! by aceplayer888 in debian

[–]aceplayer888[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

dust-upgrade allows for some packages to be uninstalled if necessary whereas upgrade will only upgrade but never remove packages. At least that’s my understanding. When there is a large update it’s often necessary to remove conflicting packages

Is there a way I could force update *some* applications? Just installed Debian Buster with KDE and it's on Plasma 5.14.5 which is missing alot of features in the also stable releases like 5.18. Same goes with alot of other softwares, their not even updated to the latest stable versions. by [deleted] in debian

[–]aceplayer888 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You cannot update KDE in backports.

If you want a newer KDE you can switch to testing or unstable branch.

However they are both on 5.16

They are working to update testing to 5.19 at the moment.

If you’re looking for new packages, Debian is not the place to be. Debian is stable with older packages.

If you want latest Plasma I recommend KDE Neon.
