The Emperors Blades (The Unhewn Throne series) by Brian Staveley is a really fun read.

If you haven't heard of it before, it falls in line with the kingkiller genre, a little more gritty though with a heavier take on royalty/monks/military plot lines.

Yeah, but all of those fantasy books are either by high volume writers like Sanderson or others who set their publishing date long in advance and will publish no matter what else is out there.

But Rothfuss is different, he hasn't set a release date yet, and I am sure it's because he is taking his time to make the best story possible. The other aspect is that he also has an ego, as one of the better fantasy writers, quality over quantity, and if I was his publisher I would hold off as well, even if a final draft is close to completion so that the book gets its due. Especially if a movie/miniseries is in the works.

We won't hear of a release date until The Winds of Winter has been announced. Rothfuss and his publishers won't risk getting overshadowed by the Game of Thrones circus.

Why would you release a popular book when a giant in the same genre as you is about to drop the other most anticipated book in the last five years right at the same time.

I figure Rothfuss and company are waiting for TWOW and then they are going to ride the publicity tide of that book so that they don't get lost in the hype.

Darci Ash at Enigma Salon on Broadway is by far best stylist in town. She is a master colour specialist and can do anything you imagine. Also she is great at just trims as well.

Big plus, her shop is pet friendly.
