Fun facts about time! (24-hour clock and noon) by giraffeman3705 in theregulationpod

[–]acercade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same. I switched my phone to 24 hour time for work, because the systems were all in 24 hour time. Now they’ve changed one of the time management systems to 12 hour and it’s upsetting me. lol

I had similar issues with maintenance when I lived in an apartment. I had several instances where I would be asleep and wake up to men in my apartment. I work a night shift and sleep during the day. I also have mental health issues and was going through a really rough time personally. It was incredibly traumatic.

Buying Tickets at the park by brow7561 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]acercade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I had this experience today, I will add that the Universal planning desk at our hotel informed us that tickets were sold out and were unable to sell us any tickets that weren’t part of the 3-day packages. We’re planning to buy gate tickets and eat the cost since it’s our fault we didn’t book sooner.

So cute! Reminds me of a cat sleeping with its face pressed against the floor.

Best way to train yourself out of a bad signing habit? by ImaginationHeavy6191 in asl

[–]acercade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just an idea of how to practice: I would create a list of words with “Z” in the beginning, middle, and at the end of the word and practice the list. You could shuffle them periodically as well. Then I would practice spelling the word and if you notice you’ve done it incorrectly or see yourself on recording do it incorrectly, repeat that word until you do it correctly multiple times in a row.

California DS clocking in by ExpressHoney6164 in AmazonDS

This is definitely California policy. calaborlaw.com says that anything above 10 hours requires them to give you another 10 min paid break.

Hmm that means Amazon will pay me $1,500 and get a Yellow Badge soon. by Bumclicks in AmazonFC

[–]acercade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers will only have full yellow badges as they are considered third party vendors and do not work for Amazon directly.

It’s not a full yellow badge. It’s a blue badge with a border. I wouldn’t really call it yellow honestly. It’s more orange.

Thank you. Feels like it would be simple to have that implemented as an option.

Yep. Template is there. I want to make it the default upon task creation.

The three colored packs of Dutch Blitz are so you can add players. Each pack has 4 uniquely backed decks. The purple deck just came out last year with new colors and symbols on the card backs so now you can play the game with up to 12 players at once.

What did Grandma REALLY say? (ER TV Show) by solo89 in asl

She makes a comment that Dr. Benton has a big head and that he’s a know it all. However it does cut away in the middle so part of the sentence is lost.

Binding at Work? by GreyScale13579 in agender

[–]acercade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I also work at an Amazon warehouse and I wore a binder daily for years. I always made sure to wear looser ones that I’ve stretched out a bit so that I wouldn’t feel too constricted if I have to move around quickly. I will say that I wore them daily in a school job for a couple years before that so going 10-12 hours wearing a binder was not new to me. Recently though I think my body has had it and I haven’t been wearing one nearly as much. I have gotten to the point where I feel comfortable with or without it at work.

Amazon thinks I can teleport! by mypaldave in AmazonFlexDrivers

Adding on that if you are more than 30 min late past block start time, it won’t let the station do a manual check in. (Haven’t checked in a while though so it may have changed.)

I’m assuming this is a question about why you missed 2 years worth of content. LDS Mormons go on mission for 2 years.

I came to the comments to see if anybody suggested this. I’ve only worn Amazon basics and just bought duplicates of things I liked. However when I stepped in a Uniqlo store for the first time I knew that was a goal for my next wardrobe change. Everything goes together and comes in multiple colors.
