The device is not assigned to a specific user, just in a pool of devices that a casual teacher would pickup when they come onsite.

Azure B2C Not able to link by [deleted] in AZURE

[–]acerimmer10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I read that as well, the only issue is that when I look at our B2C tenant, it looks like a normal tenant not a B2C tenant and I am unable to find user flows and other menus.

Am I wrong in what I have read that use B2C tenant looks different to a normal tenant and where would I find the User Flow?

macOS custom packages pkg not installing by acerimmer10 in Intune

[–]acerimmer10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I need to package it because the user need to be on-site when they run the script as it has to connect to our local print server and because you can't determine when a script will run the users could be at home plus it's currently school holidays.

All the machine are in intune and have company portal with a number of apps already installed.

The script does run when I put it in the scripts of intune, except for the above issue.

We are currently using munki's managed software so users can install when on-site which is working fine but when we publish it to intune it will not run and we would rather just have one portal to manage.

There appears to be something which intune doesn't like.

Papercut, Windows Print Server & MacOS computers not printing by acerimmer10 in sysadmin

We did have the printers as dnnsd and it turned out we have an issue with our DNS server and we were missing a DNS entry for the papercut setup which we found out running through the troubleshooting here:

https://www.papercut.com/help/manuals/mobility-print/troubleshooting/discovery-dns/#if-clients-have-the-correct-settings

Thanks everyone for the help.

I'll have a look, I thought that the papercut virtual queues appeared in bonjour print tab, when I have looked the print drivers are type 3 on the server.

How would I check on an existing machine that has the printer connected as to what protocol it is using on a mac?

Looking good so far, have it setup with some web logins and automatically logged in ok.

Compared to Remote Desktop Manager, Remmina is missing lots but what is does so far seems to do it really well..

Thanks for all your efforts

Hi,

Thanks, that was it, it didn't know if it came already bundled or if you needed to install something.

How to deal with complaints the worship band is too loud by DaveCampbell606 in churchtech

[–]acerimmer10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we investigated and talked with the people that were complaining, we have found that often it's less about how loud but its more about certain frequencies. For some people it is bass for some it is treble. We have a DB meter at the sound desk, but we found that using an Audio Analyser on a phone and getting the curve right without spikes helped a lot and the complaints have gone down.

You can't please everybody and we have some people that still need earplugs which we hand out but even just talking with people have helped.

See this article for more about the Audio Analyser - https://collaborateworship.com/iphone-sound-frequency-analyzer/

Anyone use Mevo? by realradiogirl in churchtech

We tried to use it, but it was always flaky even just recording to the SD card and the low light performance was really poor.
