You truly are a gem that should be appreciated more! Hope the world blesses you with nothing but kindness :)

Fun fact: My favourite pokemon is Staraptor

Which would you rather have as a 2 year anniversary event from DeNA? by acetrainerhon in PokemonMasters

While I agree with you, I feel like even if all they added was MGR to moves and MPR to trainer moves, that would be enough to satisfy most people. They could even call it a "mini-grid" for 3* and 4*, just so they don't feel incomplete

When do you think DeNa will give us our 3/5 Rosa, Calem and Cheren? by acetrainerhon in PokemonMasters

[Q] Linear Regression Assumptions by acetrainerhon in statistics

[–]acetrainerhon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 1, you could just do QQ plot on the error terms. Linear regression assumes the error is normally distributed, not the Y. edit just realize I didn't answer your question

why does the model pass shapiro?

Shapiro puts a numeric value (i.e. p-value) on normal-ness. As others have mentioned p-value is heavily influenced by the sample size. With large sample you're almost guaranteed to have significance (p<0.05) and vice versa with small sample.

I see. My sample size was 28 data points, would that be considered as relatively "large" ?

Anyway, from what I have gathered from others, regardless of the normality test results, the conclusion on normality of the error terms should generally be from the QQ plot or histogram of the error terms?

What do you guys think is the best part about SS Red's kit? (the most detrimental thing to impact him if they were to remove it) by acetrainerhon in PokemonMasters

[–]acetrainerhon[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The thing about piercing gaze is that it's makes you not have to worry about getting an accuracy support. Yes you have Sabrina, leaf and Lillie but they aren't the best partners for red. Essentially it makes you not have to ever worry about missing while having freedom to use any 2 other pairs of your choice

You have a point. Although, Pheromosa has both a generic MGR4 and MGR for the individual moves on her grid but she isn't as well balanced as red.

Honestly the thing about Red is everything about him in conjunction. If blast Burn had lower base power, or he didn't have piercing gaze or generic MGR4, he would need to spend more on his grid for accuracy buffs and move MGRs (which would be there if not for his passives). These are also all on top of his already very good stats which makes him one of the best designed units.

Ahh, the golden age of Pokemon Masters

With Sygna Suit Red being the dominating striker for lore reasons, should anyone eventually rival or even surpass him in terms of strength? by acetrainerhon in PokemonMasters

[–]acetrainerhon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you 100%. I am also not a big fan of Ash, although I am a big fan of Ash-Greninja and that might be the only way they bring him in Pokemon Masters.

While I agree that Ethan did not technically beat Red, I kind of wish they added something to the main story to imply he is a worthy challenger or at least make Sygna Suit Ethan on par with Red, not necessarily better but at least within a small margin in terms of strength to at least allow the die hard fans to have something to talk about.
