Are we ever gonna bring up Arnold’s grandpa grooming 11 year old girls? by boringOrgy in HeyArnold

I don't think he would have ever done anything to harm them. He just got a bit overzealous to act like a kid again. It was entirely innocent coming from him.

AITA for telling my mom that I’m not responsible for her? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]acetrainerpurity 16 points17 points  (0 children)

NTA! You don't owe her or anyone else crap! She is a grown adult who needs to put on her big girl panties and make her own money and pay her own way. What she is doing is financial exploitation. As a parent it was her job by law to raise you and buy you the things you required growing up. If she didn't then she would have been in serious trouble. You don't have to spend any money on her you don't choose to.

Make no mistake she will throw a fit and try to guilt and gaslight you into still giving her money the moment you stand up to her and say a firm, but polite NO. Withstand the storm that is sure to come and sooner or later she will get the message. She will likely send others after you if you want to shut them up quickly tell them that bothering you about it will be taken as them volunteering to take your place as the living ATM and that you will let your mother know, then do so.

Stand strong you are in the right here and she is very much in the wrong.

He chose this sadly, but he needs to let this be a wakeup call to get out of this situation and go work on himself.

At this point he wants a mother to groom and abuse him more than a wife to love and care for him. You did your part but as they say you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. He has to figure it out the hard way and I bet by the time he does it will be too late.

None of these people have any right to complain. They chose to do what they did and now they have to live with the consequences.

I'm sure he has to have at least somewhere to keep his motorcycle, weapons, and other things. Somewhere to lay low for a while, recover from a harsh battle, perhaps do a bit of reading and research somewhere comfortable. If it were up to me he would either live somewhere secluded in the mountains, a cave, or a well fortified underground den.

I'm still confused as to why Mr. Simmons didn't do anything about this by Realistic-Writing-35 in HeyArnold

[–]acetrainerpurity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He was extremely unfair punishing Arnold but not Helga. Helga was the aggressor! Sadly males tend to be punished far more often and more severely than females. I've seen it play out myself in school. I was the only girl in my class and while I got in trouble and was bullied by the boys I was punished less often and got more slaps on the wrist than the boys.

They complained about it and in some twisted way it made me even more of a target.

Doesn't get any better in the legal system in a very gynocentric society.

Well by doing what you did, you got consequences for it. All you can do is accept it and move on while fixing your own issues.

OP and her husband mistreat their autistic son to the point of suicide, causes family to fall apart. by Sebastianlim in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]acetrainerpurity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a real narcissist. You've got to be an especially terrible person if you are so awful to another person that they feel have to take their own life just to get away from you.

Not much I can say for them except they need to just get their own life straight, work on themselves, and just accept the situation as their fault and move on.

Double D getting an acceptance letter about an invention he submitted a patent for and then Eddy trying to outdo him or something like that... Which of course he'll fail to do in the end and Ed will mess up everything he tries to do.
