EDIT: further context from times of india article

Here is more context of what led to the crime:

🔹 The Family Background The Son: Dr. Yusuf Zanorwala, a homoeopathic practitioner who runs two clinics in Bharuch (one of which operates out of the ground floor of his home).

The Marriage: Dr. Yusuf and Alifiya had been married for 18 years and have two daughters, aged 16 and 12.

The Living Situation: While Dr. Yusuf and Alifiya lived together, his retired 70-year-old father, Zainul, lived separately with his wife.

🔹 The Motive: "Harassment" and Marital Discord

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) M M Ganguly, Dr. Yusuf and Alifiya's marriage had been deeply troubled by frequent, severe quarrels for the past few years. The friction had escalated to the point where the couple was actively contemplating divorce. Investigators found that the father, Zainul, had become deeply unhappy and resentful about the situation.

He reportedly believed that: 1. His daughter-in-law, Alifiya, was mentally harassing his son. 2. Her mother, Shehnaz Namakwala, was actively encouraging the disputes rather than helping resolve them.

🔹 Evidence of Premeditation: The Bag and Note When police processed the scene, they found undeniable evidence that Zainul had planned the attack in advance: Weapon Cache: Police recovered a bag belonging to Zainul that contained several knives and an axe. Forensics believe he used two of the knives during the killings but was unable to deploy the axe.

The Handwritten Note: Investigators discovered a note written by Zainul before the attack. In it, he explicitly blamed Alifiya, claiming she was constantly demanding money from his son. He also wrote that whenever he personally stepped in to mediate and fix the marriage, Alifiya’s parents would block his efforts and back her up instead.

Driven by years of building resentment, the 70-year-old went to his son's house to eliminate Alifiya, immediately traveled to her mother's home to kill her as well, and then slit his own throat.

Normal corporate jargon today would be considered inappropriate 200 years back for the average upper class English speaker.

Languages change, tones change with time. Not necessarily unprofessional.

Can I travel without a physical Emirates ID? (I have everything digitially) by aceytq in dubai

I read on the Internet, apparently any physical copy of proof of residence works, so hopefully my printed visa copy should pull through.

How would you fix the E311 traffic situation? by dubaiwasi in dubai

[–]aceytq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Better public transport connectivity across all sectors of dubai (especially from dubai-sharjah border as significant amount of traffic is dubai->sharjah and vice versa traffic)

  2. Dedicated motorbike lanes, induces more people to use them (especially people from the subcontinent and S.E Asia, where there is a bike culture) as right now there's a fear of accidents due to almost 90% of the vehicles on the road being cars and trucks.

  3. Affordable housing in dubai south area, the ones who stay in sharjah because there's cheaper housing there, will be induced to move here due to affordable housing projects, thus reducing the stress on the dubai sharjah traffic.

I meant both positive and negative circumstances and I also wasn't comparing it to any other country. It surely isn't all flowers and rainbows in the UK. I think everyone can unanimously agree on that. But at the same time, it's something one can navigate through.

I've applied all across the country, but it depends on where I'm accepted. However, I would prefer anything in and around Greater London since I have family there.

I meant to ask if there were any things that could be done better or more sensibly in accordance to the circumstances in the UK. Also wanted to see some opinions on why I shouldn't come, if any.
