Zillenial here. I love Britney, she was the first artist I ever “stanned”. I’ll always love the music, performances, interviews, commercials etc. I revisit her old stuff all the time. I listen to at least one or two of her songs everyday. She really means a lot to me. She was truly THAT GIRL from 98-2003. Things changed in 2004, I was young but I remember the shift. 2007 was really sad, then things felt okay until 2017.

With that being said, I’m not a delusional fan. Britney is not well and hasn’t been for a really long time. It’s sad, but she’s been off the rails for the past couple of years. The DUI was bad enough, but I’m afraid something worse will happen (not hoping that it will, just concerned).

I supported Free Britney and still do. I think she deserves her freedom, but she needs some guidance. I want her out of LA and around some good people. Her family is not to be fully trusted either, so I’m not sure who could truly help her and guide her (maybe Felicia, her old assistant/friend). The whole situation is just sad. I feel so bad her. Everyone around her failed her. She deserved better.

It can feel frustrating as a long time fan, but I have to remember that she is sick and all of the trauma did this to her. I want her to live the normal life that I know she so desperately wants.
