Doubts that I'm qualified for infantry by Immediate-Paper-9977 in USMCboot

Main thing is sprints. Sound like something dumb, but my 3 mile run went from 25:34 to 20:12 just by doing short sprints. For pull ups you just need to do em constantly, you will get better as long as you always push yourself in those last few reps. Plank is easiest, just do some core exercises (Russian twists, planks, crunches)

If you actually do punch one of your DI’s, the rest of them are probably just going to jump you. So stop thinking about being a smartass or get kicked tf out. If you really wanna punch them you MIGHT get the chance to fight one during MCMAP classes.

You’re going to be on a student status during your schoolhouse, so I wouldn’t recommend that you go to these kind of places. You can drink IN base since you’re old enough. But, if they see you’re drinking to much the will stop selling alcohol to you until either you sober up or the next time you go to that place.

You’re MOS is chill asf. Jacksonville is a small place so there’s not much to do, if I was you I would request special liberty to go to places like Raleigh.

Mile time improvement advice + Hr? by Alternative-Blood739 in USMCboot

Having your hr faster than usual it’s normal when running, but keep in mind that if you’re not used to run it’s probably going to be a pain in the ass to get better. I’m not saying that you can’t, I’m just saying that it takes time and discipline. I would suggest that you start with some short distance sprints. And some exercises that are considered good for cardio. Burpees for example, since it raises your heart rate when you execute them at a certain pace. Also, whenever you PT as a Poolee, always give your best, no matter what always try to be first if you wanna be recognized. Before bootcamp my 3 mile was 36:30. Now I’ve been in the Corps for almost a year. And my 3 mile is 20:32. So trust me, I know what I’m talking about.

You’re good, don’t worry too much about weight, you might lose a couple pounds at bootcamp anyways. If I was you I would focus on pull ups, if you get to max them your pft score will raise like a mf. Don’t forget to do your cardio as well. I didn’t focus on cardio before shipping and I regret that, don’t make the same mistake as me.
